Humorous and very helpful guide!

I am not a new parent. In fact, I have a lot of children. But I didn't have this book when I was raising my first child. That would have been helpful. Full of great information and humor, I recommend for anyone, regardless of whether they are on child 1 or 10 (like me).

Excellent New Parents Survival Guide

I just finished listening to "Crap, You're a Parent Now." I bought this to listen to because our son and his wife just had their first baby. They seem to be so overwhelmed. I listened to this book, which was great—straightforward solutions without all the fluff. Many new parents have anxieties, and this book addresses anything from parenting styles to feeding options. One of my favorite sections was the “unbiased and researched options” section—she presents different parenting options without pushing any particular agenda. This allows parents to feel more confident about finding their own path as parents rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. This quote stood out to me,“There are ways to lower your anxiety by using this amazing book to guide you on your journey and discover your parenting voice.” It reminds you that it is ok not to have it all figured out. This book is fantastic. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it.

Welcome to the deep end.

Becoming a parent is like being thrown into the deep end, isn’t it? I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be, especially when you’re bombarded with endless advice and opinions on how to care for your new baby. That’s where this book comes in—it’s here to help new parents and caregivers navigate all the big and little decisions that come with raising a child.

Let’s face it, there’s no manual for parenting, and even the most well-meaning advice can feel like a flood of information. We get anxious, questioning whether we’ll be good enough or if we’re prepared for this huge responsibility. I’ve been there, and that anxiety can feel crippling.

This book breaks things down into manageable chunks. It’s not just about giving you a list of what to do—it’s about guiding you to discover your own parenting style, one that fits you and your baby. And let’s be real, no one is born with all the parenting skills. We all have gaps in knowledge, especially if we’ve never cared for a child before.

What I love about this book is how it covers a wide range of essential skills, from practical baby care tips to the emotional rollercoaster of becoming a parent. Whether you’re a biological parent, foster parent, or guardian, this guide has you covered with easy-to-follow advice that builds confidence.

If you’re feeling anxious or unprepared, this book is like having a seasoned friend by your side. It’ll help you figure out what works best for you and your little ankle biter. Grab it, and feel ready to face the challenges of parenting head-on!

AMAZING!!

This book is similar to having a friend who is an experienced parent helping you navigate the hectic first few years of having your first child. The guidance is straightforward, practical, and accurate. This book divides things into manageable portions. It's about helping you find your own parenting style that works for you and your child, not just about providing you a list of things to do. Everybody has knowledge gaps, particularly those who have never provided child care. This audiobook is reassuring and packed with helpful advice.
