Liberating and Truth
I am a big fan of Mel Robbins. She has a conversational way of sharing the truth of letting people do them and you do you. Then choose your response and energy to what means the most to you without caring what other people think. Simple but powerful message!

That hit the spot!
First I have to say how brave Mel is for being as open and honest about herself as she is in all her books, but especially this one. After reading just the first few chapters “let them” started to come automatically into my head when a friend didn’t reply to a text, or another friend spoke dismissively about something that’s important to me. Or a family member refuses to take their health seriously.
But “let me” I think is going to be life changing for me. I too move to a new town and have met friendly people by not felt included. Mel’s example of being brave enough to take the initiative to do herself what she had been waiting for others to do hit me right where I have been most disappointed. Let me offer connection and see what will happen

This makes me feel human…Anna totally capable!
I love how Mel just tells it how it is, and shares her real life experiences that make me feel normal. I always feel so awful about things that she talked about doing herself. Somehow, knowing someone else-who I think is awesome- has done, or said, or thought that thing I have, makes me feel like I’m still a good person too. This book has lifted my soul in a way that I so desperately needed!
