In this day and age, one would believe that skin color would not matter, but in this coming of age novel, Sandra Ray learns that it still matters in a painful way. This is a compilation of thoughts that can at times be poetic by Giselle Lumas. The thoughts were triggered during and after her father's battle with Alzheimer's, as well as the shock and disbelief of losing both of her parents within weeks of each other.
