Excellent story, I hung onto every word, I listened to the whole book in one day!

Masterpiece of Suspense

The critiques who say this is cliche and predictable must be reading fiction that makes their heads explode. Because McFadden hooked me immediately with her writing and the narrator made the characters so real I cared too much about them. When I wasn't listening to the book, I fretted for the characters and wondered what they would do next. I had to keep reminding myself this was fiction and the characters that Lauryn Allman brought to life were just figments of McFadden's imagination. Listening to the story I found myself thinking, "Run away!" or "Don't go there!" then listening closely to see what they actually ended up doing. Frieida McFadden wrote a masterful psychological thriller with this one and Lauryn Allman did a good job of making the characters real. There were times her male voices fell short, but in general McFadden and Allman made a great team to make these fictional characters real and their plight something I cared about.

Didn’t expect the ending!!

I enjoyed this book quite a lot. I did not expect the ending, it was so well written and narrated. Amazing story that is well told. Definitely worth reading

Breath taking, amazing story!

If I had to refer a story for you that's reading this Review right now, I'd tell you this book hands down is the best one I've read this year. And I read alot. and listen to audible alot. this book was addicting and hard to stop listening to, even the narrator was wonderful. I listened to chapter 30 all the way to the end in one day. much worth the time. enjoy.

Fabulous

This one grabbed me right from the beginning. I tend not to listen to books that take a while to get into. This one didn’t. The narrator was incredible.

Wow! What a great book!

This was an excellent story. I loved the twists and turns! The narrator does an amazing job. This is my first book by this author, but it won’t be my last. So gooood!!

Keeps you hooked.

I really liked this book because it had me interested from the very start. There’s not a ton of characters so it’s easy to follow. I gave it four stars because some of it is a little far fetched. Still a great and disturbing story that will keep you guessing.

Excellent Read

This is my first experience with Freida McFadden. I absolutely LOVED it!! I didn’t see the twists and turns (which I’m normally able to see a mile away). Not with this book!! Can’t wait to order another one!

Oh my god

I love thrillers, the “edge of my seat” feeling- but Jesus this one made me physically uncomfortable and scared to keep listening. It’s a lot but totally worth it!!
