Beautiful story

I am generally hesitant to buy an audio if I don't know and love the narrators. Though I had never listened to Christine or Matt before, I didn't hesitate this time and I'm glad. They did a fantastic job and both have a new fan.

This story is so real and the characters are relatable and flawed and perfect because of it.

Hooks you in the first chapter

Amazing as usual when it comes to Abby Jimenez. I love all the characters and just when you think you know what is happening it moves in a direction you were not expecting. How many favorite books are we entitled?

Love wins over all the sadness

I could not stop listening to these amazing narrators who carried this story with all the emotions. I learned so much about memory care and the sadness it causes family. This story had its funny moments but it was an overall sad story but the love of the two main characters was great but not a rom-com. It was nice to listen to a story with many 'good' humans described. Another great story by this author.

I love Abby‘s way with words. The story was absolutely heartrending, but in the best possible way. I read a lot of books and I feel like Abby‘s books are a rare treat of fantastic goodness.

I'll be remembering this book

LOVED IT!!

Samantha (28) and Xavier (29) meet when she brings her kitten into his veterinary clinic. The kitten needs a very expensive procedure that Xavier doesn’t think is feasible—but Samantha proves him wrong by raising the money herself. After all the banter and back-and-forth, he asks her out.

They hit it off, but things get complicated when Samantha has to move several states away to help care for her mother, who has dementia.

Watching these two navigate long-distance reminded me so much of my early relationship with my husband. Their dynamic felt real and made me reflect on how I would handle similar situations.

I truly enjoyed this book—it gave me a lot to think about and left me smiling.
