About this listen

Elaine and Iona continue to attend the School of Sorcery and Spellcraft, working on their classes and Classes, learning the secrets of the world, and receiving divine quests.

Iona discovers that the Valkyries have been uprooted, the Order being slowly smothered by political enemies who want their riches for themselves. She's in no position to take out the entrenched power structures, but can she humiliate Rolland on the world stage?

Elaine's Medical Manuscripts have spread and grown far beyond what she could've ever imagined. Proving that she's the creator and getting credit for her work is going to be more than a little difficult.

Looming over both of them is graduation and questions. Where will they go after they graduate? What will they do? What plans do Selene and Lunaris, twin Goddesses of the Moons, have for them?

Excellent Pacing

This book does a lot in a small amount of time. It doesn’t spend time on filler but does everything it can to prep the characters for what is to come. It also resolves the few outstanding items from the previous books. Can’t wait until the next one.

Fantastic!!! (Minor spoilers)

This book is lacking only two things. More book, and a better title. Gladiators and Graduations would’ve been better in my opinion. The actual tournament is a little odd, and despite its impact it seems to me Selkie Myth felt more obligated to fill in for a school sports arc than anything. The graduation stuff was more interesting to me personally. This book neatly ties a lot of loose ends, and is clearly Teeing up the next major arc. As always Andrea Emmes nails the performance, and I am always impressed by her ability to bring laughter and tears into her voice. Her willingness to Ppprrrtt is also amazing. So many Prrrpptts

Now with mangos

This may have been the shortest book in the series, but oh well, I still love this. Give me more books, please. I have money and credits got any more of those books? Man, I need some more of those books.....

That pun? 0 stars. throw everything away!

And we finally see the curse. And even though I've already ready it once on royal road, and again on Kindle, something about hearing it brought it to the next level! SHAME!!!

It's a great book, we see character flaws and development continue. Elaine isn't suddenly perfect or insufferable, she's a more thoughtful of others character, Iona isn't without her flaws and draws, Auri, well she's to Brrrretty to do anything wrong so I guess it's good she's a perfect lil firecracker.

As always eagerly looking forward to the next installment.

Better than 5 & 6 not as good as 8

So i started this series a while ago, but dropped it after Elaine started hanging out with the dwarves, that whole segment was pretty bad in my opinion. However i was bored and curious, cuase i did like the first four books and i thought i would give it another try. 5 & 6 were still god awful, but i ground my teeth and got through it. 7 was pretty good and 8 was absolutely fantastic. I would put 9 some where between 6 & 7.
Honestly I didn't really get the point of the combat team thing, Neither the author nor the MC seemed all that interested in it. It was almost never mentioned before this book and when it was actually mentioned it was done with a certain level of condescension . If i am being brutally honest it felt less like a plot point and more like an obligation the author felt they had to give some face to. (shrug) Just felt like if the author wanted it to feel more important they should have spent more time building it up and introducing us to the team mates. Sigh i don't really know how else to describe it other than saying that the the tournament didn't feel all that earned even if it had some interesting bits to it.
The rest of the story was certainly interesting. Seems to mostly consist of tying up loose ends and setting things up for the next book, whch looks VERY interesting. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Good as, if not better than, the others!

This series has consistently been great! I can’t wait for the next book to come out! The author is very dedicated to writing a good book and also in producing books in a timely fashion. The narrator is now one of my favorites!

Overall good

loved the series overall so far, considering how far in I am. the main character has no internal flaws though, only external struggles. would like to see something actually challenge protag. Anyway, pretty good but thought I would leave real feedback over just saying "wow so good" without much substance. Blame typos on phone keyboard!
