Interesting plot device. Low key, no fighting

This is not like all the other dropped in a RPG world by a higher power. No battles, no broken power or unlimited skill access. This is a story of a business tycoon in a world where he can relive his ambition to build another financial empire.
Game logic and plot structure like SIM City or Civilization than a Dungeon Crawler or Fate.

So if you like the business aspect of world building, which I have to be honest... Not so much an unique buildings or heavy village design layout plot. As he asks advisors constantly on where to go next, then uses the "Art of the Deal" negotiation and pyschology from previous life to get what he wants.

Pretty relaxes paced too, never feel any pressure or danger for the MC. But I always feel that the writer is only a plot twist or concept away from a interestingly unique story into an amazingly engrossing story.

Will buy next book in hopes the author improves on this story plot and actually creates the great book so clearly hinted at for a world builder fan.

surprisingly good

I've read a lot of lit rpg books, this was a uniquely creative concept that paid off. it was easy to understand and the contracts made were easy enough for me to understand. I can't wait to read move of this man's adventures

good but could use some more

i enjoyed the story, just wish they would build the world more and move away from game mechanics to a little more fantasy.

Excellent 👌

the story is great as well as the narration. I really really enjoyed this. it's like a Fortune 500 boss decides to become a gamer in a Sim like environment. it's really good!

Good diplomacy-focused LitRPG

After finishing all 8 books, I can finally say it was worth it. It's a tale of a former soldier who no longer wants to kill but use business savvy and diplomacy to win over conflicts. It could have been boring but it was entertaining throughout. The end was satisfying as well.

Lots of fun

Really enjoyed this. Great LitRPG that does an excellent job with the town building/civ store game elements while also giving you some character depth and development. voice acting was top notch too. Looking forward to reading the next one.

Sim City

Just to be clear, there is no great battles in this story, but it’s world building & how he goes to do it is good. I don’t usually listen to stories like these but this one really got me listening till the end, & buying the next book. It’s worth the listen, the MC isn’t overpowered, & I want to play Sim City after listening to this.

Pure city building and trade

I was surprised how much this book grew on me. While primarily focused on city building and trade, there are a surprising number of relationships introduced and several intrigues to be resolved. It's a quick listen at only seven hours and easy to follow. Narration was a bit slow for my taste, so I jammed through at 1.5 speed which sounded just about right.
