I wasn't expecting much from this title but i found it extremely satisfying. the way the mc comes into the world all the way through to the climax and epilogue was really well done. once I started it, I was kidnapped until the very end. I'm highly looking forward to the next volume and recommend this with the relief of my ear buds battery.

addictive

The foundation of the story seems like it's set to be one epic fantasy, but the pacing in this book can feel almost too slow.

The narrators perform well, bringing both the quirky and mature characters to life. But, the over emotional dialogue during the narrative lines over saturates the audiobook as a whole and almost drowns out the beautifully done characters.

There is a wonderful plot underneath several glaring issues. Hopefully, book 2 will bring more of the good points to the forefront.

I’m a big fan of isekai; reincarnation, transmigration, western, I’m here for it all. That being said, I think this one of the best introductions to a new world so far.

Top tier world building, mature themes done well, and it is intriguing. I genuinely can’t wait for more.

Can’t wait for book two!

What an absolutely amazing beginning to this series. There is a ton of depth and intrigue to this story. I cant wait for the next book in this series.

Fantastic narration duo. Seamless character voices from both narrators. They helped the story to flow effortlessly.

Awesome

It follows the typical Isekai story with some western style flavoring. it was pretty enjoyable.

Enjoyable Isekai story

So I read the description and got serious Accendance of a Book Worm vibe. Feeble girl with big mana. Well the feeble part doesn't last, though she is a mage so she's not meant to be a big fighter. But where Rosemyne (bookworm) couldn't fight off a common grandmother. Adelheide can stand up to like 90% of the population early in the story. In many ways it's a bit like Bookworm meets Game of Thrones. I won't reveal anything, but as they get deeper into the series, it goes into tropes I wasn't expecting. Ones you'd usually use to sell your story to a certain subgenre but completely a suprise instead.

It mostly reads like a more mature novel, but there are certainly a few anime feeling tropes. Like a certain running gag about carriages, or the Matilda character well you'll get it. I don't say I hate it, but it really doesn't fit all that well either. Though I don't dislike Matilda, it just cheapens her too.

The first 3 books are a cut above in reader performance, clearly they went to a lot of extra work to prepare the voice performances with detailed ques. The use both a female and male voice performers, and cool effects for when a mage verbally casts a spell. And then book 4 started and it all dropped in quality. Still 2 performers, but they changed the main female and gone are the detailed voices for different characters from her. Also a just plain worse mic, and her cadence is significantly faster too. Adelheide goes from sounding like a breathy little girl, to sounding like a grown woman. she's just turning 13 yo at that point for context. It's jarring as a listener. Also gone are the audio effects during spell casting. Though to be fair because Adelheide has grown as a mage there's less casting to listen too. Still I feel the need to call out the producers.

it's not bookworm but it hooked me just as hard.

I almost gave up on it. The narrator was reading the book like she would to a five year old. It was like listening to a fairytale. The writing style was like a fairytale. I seriously thought about returning the book after the first 10 minutes. It is another reincarnated or isekai type story. The main character is strong but not overpowered. Most of the "wow" moments did not involve strength or power. The MC is not a good person, she is a noble and acts like one. In the end, it turned out to be a pretty good story and I will continue the series once the next book is released. If you can get past the fairytale vive then I would recommend this book.

Narration was good, Team did a nice job giving voices to the characters and playing the younger protagonist well. I did speed it up at the beginning since the lore and exposition was done at a pretty slow pace and felt like it dragged. The story picked up after that and I am looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Weird start but was pretty happy by the end
