"Sex, Lies and Women's Magazines" by Liza Featherstone brings up many interesting questions on the merit of magazine stories that produce sexual anxiety, obsession, and insecurities.

Susie says if you think fundamentalist Christians have the market on punitive messages about sex, think again. An article from The Guardian takes a look at the way Islamic scholars talk about sex, and let's just say it starts with keeping your clothes on - all the time. Then, in the mailbag, Susie takes a hard line with a woman says she's plagued by recurrent urinary tract infections.

Where do we stand in the fight against HIV/AIDS? Today's show takes a looks at the politics and decision-making behind how money is spent to combat the disease. Susie has an interview with Elizabeth Pisani, author of the new book The Wisdom of Whores: Bureaucrats, Brothels and the Business of AIDS, in which they examine the bamboozling of the public about what's being done.
