Publisher's summary

When we stop beating ourselves up and start helping ourselves instead, we find the peace we’ve always wanted—but never thought possible.

Most of us are trying to succeed our way out of insecurity. But it never ends. This is the fundamental problem of all high achievers: our desire to get more, win bigger, be better, and prove once and for all we’re good enough is not enough.

Proving anything to your satisfaction is a rational process. But feeling like we’re not good enough is an emotional conclusion. And the emotional mind ignores rational proof. Feelings don’t care about your facts, so no matter how hard you push or how much you win, victory is only fleeting. Ultimately, this creates obsession, then exhaustion. It doesn’t even feel good to finish anymore. It only feels good to work. That’s not good.

Winner Peace brings your thoughts, feelings, and efforts into alignment. Author Ryan Christensen’s new model of belief formation and emotional impact harmonizes the rational and emotional minds so that you can live a life of peak fulfillment. This book is an urgent listen for any high-performing individual stuck chasing the moving goalposts of success and meaning.

both relatable and eye-opening

This is a thought-provoking listen that digs into the challenges high achievers face when success feels empty. The audiobook offers insightful advice on balancing ambition with self-compassion, and the content feels both relatable and eye-opening. At just over three hours, it’s a quick but impactful experience, making complex ideas easy to grasp without dragging on.

The narrator’s calm and steady voice enhances the message, creating a reflective atmosphere that suits the content perfectly. However, some sections felt repetitive, and I wished for more specific, step-by-step guidance to apply the concepts in daily life. Overall, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking to better understand the emotional side of success and find a more fulfilling way forward.

How to battle inner conflict and find success

"Winner Peace: How to End Inner Conflict and Make Success Inevitable" by Ryan Christensen offers a transformative perspective for high achievers who often find themselves trapped in a cycle of insecurity and relentless striving. The book emphasizes that true peace comes not from relentless self-criticism or the pursuit of external validation, but from shifting our mindset to one of self-compassion and alignment. Christensen addresses the fundamental issue faced by many: the emotional conviction of inadequacy that persists regardless of rational achievements. He argues that while rational proof may suggest we are successful, our emotional minds often dismiss these facts, leading to obsession and exhaustion. By introducing a new model of belief formation and emotional impact, "Winner Peace" helps harmonize the rational and emotional aspects of our lives, enabling us to pursue fulfillment rather than mere success. This audiobook is essential for anyone feeling stuck in the endless chase for meaning and accomplishment, guiding them towards a more balanced and satisfying existence.
