Well Done Gents!

In the book Quiet Quit & Fully Live, Mr Hess teaches the reader (or listener) how to disengage from overcommitment at work in order to live a happy, joyful, and fulfilling life. You don't need to be a perfectionist to overcommit. Most of us overcommit without even realizing it. The world we leave outside of work can soon grow chaotic and hectic if left unmaintained. Allow Mr Hess to teach you how do disengage from overworking and allow his to show you how to find a peace you may be looking for.

Oh, and best of all, this book is narrated by Myles Catania. Mr Catania is a great narrator with great genre range. He does everything from self-help to fantasy.

Great Job you two!

The Refreshing Perspective I Didn’t Know I Needed

Listening to Quiet Quit & Fully Live felt like a breath of fresh air. In a world where we’re constantly pushed to do more, be more, and give more at work, this audiobook offers a refreshing perspective that challenges the status quo. Matthew Hess does an amazing job of breaking down the idea of “quiet quitting” in a way that doesn’t feel negative at all. Instead, it feels empowering.

As someone who’s struggled with burnout, the concept of ethical disengagement really resonated with me. The idea that you can set healthy boundaries and still be successful is something that’s often overlooked. Hess’s approach made me realize that stepping back doesn’t mean you’re giving up; it means you’re taking control of your life.

The book is short—just over two hours—but it’s packed with insights that have really stuck with me. I loved how Hess explained that by taking care of ourselves first, we can actually bring more passion and purpose to our work. It’s a win-win!

A unique way to achieve work-life balance

I've heard of quiet quitting a couple times before and it was always painted in a negative light in headlines. This book highlights the positive aspects of it and how it can even be ethical and mutually beneficial. I have struggled with burnout in the past and I thought the only solution was to either win the lottery or embrace the continuous burnout while you build another stream of income. This has been a great perspective shift for me because I didn't realize how much of a difference reframing the idea of quite quitting would make. It isn't about giving up and performing at your worst, it's actually about fully embracing a healthy balance that in turn leads to more productivity and happiness for both sides. Don't get me wrong, I will still continue to build another source of income on the side of my job, but I will do it in a much happier state knowing how to give my best to my work but also give the best to myself and my own mental health.

Practical & Insightful

This book is an insightful guide to setting boundaries in wise ways and reducing stress for a more satisfying and fulfilling life. The author explains the benefits of quiet quitting, such as more time for family, self-care, exploring new passions all the while increasing productivity. I found his practical tips on efficiency, like organizing your calendar and saying no to people and perfectionism, really valuable. Quiet quitting is more helpful than harmful! Highly recommend this book for anyone seeking a healthier work-life balance.

I will be using the strategies in this book to see what tasks I am doing that I can automate, let go of or reprioritize...without guilt.
