About this listen

You hate politicians. Who doesn’t in today’s world? But you have more in common with politicians than you may think: You both need a proven, foolproof marketing system to succeed in today’s tumultuous marketplace.

The stakes have always been high, but with so much economic disruption in the world, they’re even higher now - and you can feel it. What if the key to future success lies in a simple and secret marketing approach that presidents use to get elected and start-up companies use to become billion-dollar unicorns? What if you could use this approach to convert customers in half the time, eliminate your financial risk, and secure huge profits? Now you can.

In The Undefeated Marketing System, best-selling author Phillip Stutts shows you how his groundbreaking five-step marketing formula used by winning presidents and successful companies will also grow your business. With more than 25 years of campaign and research experience, Phillip will reveal, for the first time ever, his system that elects presidents and builds billion-dollar companies. If you’re a small business owner, entrepreneur, executive, or marketing professional determined to beat the competition in any economic environment, this is your next must-listen book.

Marketing to Win

It always helps when someone at the top lays out a clear road map for success. Like most huber successful people, the author has a great understanding of deeper strategies and is fluid with his tactics, matching the medium to the market.

It's great to see that marketing fundamentals like testing and retargeting are respected at the higher levels but there's also room for greatness in his system. I think the author does a great job of illustrating that data collection and analysis are a real separator in the game, and if you can find what is important to your market you can have a monster campaign.

Well done.

Great 5 step concept applicable to live as well

Saw Phillip Stutts on Adam Carolla's YouTube / Podcast. My initial reaction was great another full of $hit digital marketer (I've had the unfortunate task of firing at least eight from his industry). However, I figured if he went too off the rails that it would be entertaining to hear the host call him out.

Glad I stuck with it, as I was really impressed with Phillip's ability to simplify things down to five common sense steps. Overall he was a pretty interesting guest and earned enough credibility for me to invest the time and audible credit into his book. Glad I did that as well as my company is strongly considering hiring his firm to handle our marketing needs.

P.S. he does share enough information to handle ALL of your marketing yourself, so if you have more time / energy than capital this book is an excellent resource

Superb and straight to the point

I've enjoyed both of Philips books because, just like what he's teaching, he removes the bull, although that will challenge many!

These are concepts most know already but very few use, packaged in a very tangible and easy format.

The key to all this is... do it.

thankfully I read this book right at the time of an overhaul of our business and I pressed pause to implement some strategies which are having an enormous impact.

read it. do it.

How to Market

You will miss the point if you read this as a political book.

It’s a book about how to market to your customers by knowing how they think.

Using data is infinitely more accurate than guessing.

Guessing is the most popular tool these days.

The book is a 5 step method to yield way better results.

Every marketer should read it or be beaten by a competitor employing these tactics

A phenomenal book that is a must for entrepreneurs

Whether you're new to marketing or have been in the game for years, you'll gain critical insights into what to look for and how to approach your customer data. Many marketers and agencies are nothing more than charlatans who tell you what you'd like to hear when it comes to marketing and promise the world. I truly enjoyed Phillip's refreshing approach to a carefully calculated marketing system. He points out how the big guys use critical data points to drive a lot of their decisions and how, unless you're focused on WHO your customers really are, you're playing a rigged game. The book is well laid out and clearly written in a way that makes listening to it a breeze. I would highly recommend this book if you're someone who wants to go deeper into the world of how to market effectively so you can create a real connection with your customers.

Great advice. The 5 steps are great.

Only thing I wish I had access to the data or knew where get more of it.

Good

This is a great book if you are just starting to market and need some inspiration on how a marketer should think. Or if you are a business owner and not really wanting to do your own marketing.

Not enough practical info for you to start doing on your own right away.. I heard a bunch of great stories with awesome achievements and the high level concepts, but lacks clear direction on the best way to implement the steps.

Maybe thats because he is selling his company's services.. Great concepts. I desired more detail.

What System?

This book is all personal stories and seems to be a super long-form copy of promoting the author's own business. There is no true system of marketing presented. A few cliches that any beginner marketer can relate to are included but there is no critical analysis of them. There is no discussion of how to conduct research other than pay for it, and the title down right lies. Officials are selected by people and while I'm sure political marketing may help a little I'm not convinced it is measurable the same as traditional retail marketing.

To your message in your incessant emails... you book got 'canceled' because you said it gets presidents elected. This is unsubstantiated and unproveable. Follow your own system and maybe the book will have more credibility.
