Well Written & Motivating
The author did a beautiful job not only sharing theways Black women can incorporate self-care into their daily lives, but also diving deep into the need and importance of self-care for black women. One listen through was enlightening but I will definitely be referring back to certain parts as needed. Lots to digest.

Self-Care isn’t Selfish
I had the opportunity to get this book for free, and I'm so glad that I did. I come from a family background where self-care is a dirty word. But now that I have been freed from a long-term toxic relationship, I understand that self-care isn't selfish. In this book, you will learn how to become a productive and happy human again, no matter your circumstances.

Makes a great gift
If you have a family member or friend who’s been having some mental stress, you should gift her this book. She’ll really appreciate it, and it will make a difference. This is a really good read to help black women with their overall health.

Awesome self-care resource.
The author draws on not only her personal experiences but also other resources to form this guide for self-care. She also does a great job of weaving in cultural considerations for each of the topics. Some of the great resources you will find in the book are nutrition, movement, and emotional health.

So Much To Learn
There were so many things in this audiobook that I simply did not know. Things like Emotional care, how to deal with my trauma, how to politely set boundaries, etc. I’m really glad that my friend recommended the book for me because it’s definitely going to be a big part of my life going forward.
