it's good

if I'd read this first, I might've liked it a lot more, but it reminded me too much of stray cat strut in so many ways and I liked that series a lot than this one so far. it's still good though.

Pretty awesome combat and it’s funny!

Pretty great start to a new series! It was funny and has good combat! It’s a pretty good idea how humans would probably react to suddenly getting powers and I can’t wait for the next one!

Fun and unique

This book caught me by surprise. Very interesting and fun characters. No subtext or political messages. Just ordinary people. Funny and entertaining.

Action, Comedy, and a protagonist that won't quit

Anya is amazing. Strong funny female protagonists are needed in the genre and it's refreshing to see her take no shit. and Pan is adorable but I wanna see him wild out to save his friends

What a fun start to hopefully a long standing series. This is such an interesting concept and so well thought out.

Fun

Random people are given a System by aliens because bad guys are about to invade. Learning the system takes a back set as the bad guys arrive early. Now the race is on to get powerful, gather allies, and survive the government. In the end one of the evil generals is defeated. A new government agency is created and the world prepares to fight the aliens.

This is a fun listen. Well told, good pace. Interesting world. Please enjoy

Loved it.

It had just the right amount of system for an audiobook, a great style that I enjoyed, and some world building that has me excited for the next!

Pretty basic format.

The story is fun and there is nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't have anything i haven't seen a million times with every other litrpg story. MC with mystery powers beyond everyone else..check. Obligatory powerless friends with hints of becoming more in the future....check. Sidekicks who COULD be just as powerful as the MC but conveniently aren't.... check. Snarky lesbian female lead that has issues with authority. who is obsessed with makeing only themselves powerful and completely ignore how they could help others get stronger....Check, check and SUPER Check. Sigh, again there is nothing really wrong with it, i just have seen it so many times that i pretty much predicted this whole story from chapter 1. If you are new to this genre it is a great jumping off point. If not.... you probably won't hate it, but you will likely forget about it as soon as you are done.

Start with the performance, the narrator was overall really good but the audio production needs help. Basically just need to have the performance normalized. Sometimes the voices are super loud and a moment later very quiet.

The story is not bad but pretty predictable. The characters are okay, but the MC is pretty lame. Some side characters that are largely pointless. was pan intended to be comic relief or something? All of the things you would basically expect are there. No real surprises.
