About this listen
It's humans versus monsters when an apocalypse turns a simple cross-country trek into the road trip from hell in this breakneck LitRPG thrill ride.
All that stands between rowdy long-haul trucker Jill MacLeod (aka Junkmouth) and her family back in Boston is two thousand miles of asphalt. Well, that and the monstrous game the System has had her playing ever since it descended on Earth. The reward: mana. Jill's goal: kill, score, drive—and stay alive. Behind the wheel of a turreted forty-ton semi named Bertha, Jill hammers east from Montana through a gauntlet of every kind of chomping, hissing, rabid creature imaginable.
Barreling forward in her magical soulbound big rig and chalking up a bumper crop of roadkill, Jill isn't alone for long. Hitching a ride are stranded brothers Babu and Ras Bati, who just want to make it home to Billings in one piece, and Mia Williams, a school nurse with a rotary cannon and a crateful of ammo. The artillery, at least, will be handy, because what lies ahead is the biggest threat of all . . .
Arriving in Billings, they find a city in chaos, led by a self-appointed psychopathic mayor using the monster-ravaged ruins for his own ends. But Jill hasn't come this far to be blindsided by a human—no matter how scary. There's still a game to be played: The System is watching, that metal-muscle fortress Bertha is transforming, and Jill and her shotgun-riding friends will do anything it takes to keep the terror in the rear view one gobsmacking mile at a time.
The first volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with more than 400,000 views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Story
Earth was invaded. Earth was conquered. And humanity was summarily subjugated, as 400,000,000 people were culled. The terrifying part was this only took the Peacekeepers a second. There wasn't even a chance for us to fight back. In the blink of an eye, questions like whether or not we're alone in the universe or at the top of the food chain were answered. We were not. Not by a long shot. Despite the mass murder, the Peacekeepers promise they're benevolent. They don't want to rule Earth. They don't want to control humanity. They just want us to stop playing around with AI and genetics.

Pete is a simple man who enjoys a good drink amongst good friends. Not too much to ask, right? Now, he's trapped in a fantasy world far from home, stuck underground and inside the body of a smelly dwarf with fantastic facial hair. The worst part? The swill that the dwarves are falling all over themselves to drink. It's flat, it's watery, and it has the alcohol content of a rancid coconut. Can Pete save the dwarves from their own sour fate, or will he be forever doomed to plink his pickaxe away in hopes that he hits the motherlode?

In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

Zaria was just a normal woman, living a simple life—until demons burst through her door and ate her heart. Reborn from tragedy, Zaria rises from the ashes as a Core, but with a twist. Luke was your typical nine-to-five office drone when he was killed in a head-on car collision during his morning commute. Instead of going to heaven, Luke's soul is brought to a hellish realm on the verge of total destruction, where two supernatural beings soon engage in brutal combat. Loved the MC and her vocabulary lol.
Great characters all around, nice to see a blue-collar protagonist that won't take "sugar" from anyone. Great vocabulary it made me smile and want to write it down, but as someone who works outside my hands are usually full. Looking forward to the next one.

Feedback from a trucker
First of all, I'm gonna tell you. I love this Book. That is after I was able to listen to it for more than an hour. During the first hour, there were several major mistakes made about semi trucks. That almost Made Me turn off the book. Semi trucks don't have under the seats. That's where the suspension for them are and the airbags and Pneumatic shocks Semi trucks do not have a hood Releases inside the truck. They are unlocked from the outside and several other minor issues like that. most of the other things are a able to be overlooked due to magic voodoo and hula, and that is fine that happens after the system appears but honestly, I love the story. I just wish you'd take a little more time, just to talk to a few truckers about what is and isn't possible how things go and how things work out depend on what kind of truck you have. You actually have all kinds of room to stand Up to be able to Stand around your driver's seat. so you have plenty of room to lineup and hold a gun there at the same time. Though you cannot be between the driver's seat and the door usually so I just hope you're able to take the little Criticism to heart and next time just make sure you look into those little things when you're planning on doing a store like this. Because I love the premise I love the story. I love the direction you're going with. It turned into a city builder. And thank you very much for a great book.

Mother Trucker
The main character is someone easily related with, just a normal "Every Day Joe" working to survive. I am blind, but with the descriptions I was able to imagine what was going on. A great read from a niche part of this genre. I was disappointed when it was over. There are some things that you may need to look over, but they are minor imo. I couldn't wait to spend my credit on this book and I was not disappointed in the slightest. I, however, would like more snarkiness from the AI System, as I am a fan of banter/side-type characters like that.

Finally an original
I have been waiting on this, this beauty of LitRPG book has all the hallmarks of LitRPG and fresh take on the story. Beautiful I loved every minute thing from the swearing the powers how they level up to the Badass Upgraded Truck. Just refreshing for a change and the narrator was awesome, if this is her standard I'll listen to more books just because she's narrating them.
