About this listen
Do you want to truly be free of self-doubt, calm the churning in your gut, and feel at peace during your day for once? Do you want to isolate and overcome the causes of stress and panic attacks - forever?
I had a heart attack at age 30. After years of chasing the online dream, cramming courses and plans, starting business after business - I was so fearful and nervous about trying to survive for another month that my heart just gave out on me. I was rushed to the hospital, and when I saw the fear in my doctor's eyes, I thought I was done for!
But I survived. That survival left me with a new mission: to make big achievements while still taking care of myself. That struggle didn't start with my heart - it started with my mind.
Business owners, entrepreneurs, regular people looking to survive an increasingly brutal work/life balance - you need to listen to Conquer Stress and do it as soon as possible! In this audiobook, you'll discover the individual choices we make that lead to chemical stress, learn about the areas in your life where stress might be manifesting without you even knowing, and set yourself on a path to peace and health.
Stress isn't the same as depression, and it can be killing you even if you don't "feel bad" all the time!
That's why you have to learn how to reduce the level of internal and external stress in your life, avoid procrastination, and apply the fundamentals of emotional control so you can uplift yourself on command, fight through periods of stress and torment, build the confidence to achieve powerful, amazing results, and give yourself long-term satisfaction and peace.
What pragmatic and actionable tactics will you learn?
- Positive coping strategies that will have a measurable impact on your future stress levels.
- Diagnosing stress: the physical symptoms that mean you're getting stressed out!
- Some people get stressed by the people around them. I've created a "social pressure test" to help you figure out what triggers you and act accordingly.
- The 10-minute organizational fix that will save you around 80 percent of your time!
- Changes you can't control can rock you and sometimes trigger panic attacks. How can you hold yourself together during "surprise" incidents?
The audiobook will also provide the following insights:
- The "red alert" reflex that causes serious emergencies and the chilling reason why the people around you love to make you stressed out.
- Why getting online puts you in the clutches of powerful businesses that are desperate to raise your stress levels!
- Everyone says you should delegate responsibilities, but how do we go about this in an effective way?
- Six case studies - a chance for you to apply the lessons you've learned to other people so you can spot them in yourself.
- And so much more!

Story
Overthinking manifests itself as an overwhelming fear that, although unrealistic, ends up taking control of your thoughts and completely blocking your actions. Excessive thinking generates excessive thinking. It is a process that feeds itself and leads inevitably to exhaustion, both emotional and physical because your mind never stops running and consuming energy. If you are genuinely motivated by the desire to reverse this vicious circle, but perhaps you never had the right approach to solving the problem, this audiobook may be what you are missing to accomplish the mission.

Story
We all want to feel less anxiety, guilt, anger, and sadness. We want to obsess less and be less lonely, and free ourselves from our demons, compulsive habits, and stress. But as humans (unlike rocks), we experience all of these. And, paradoxically, trying to avoid and control them only makes things worse. Having struggled with serious mental illness for many years himself, Mark Freeman has become a dedicated mental-health advocate and coach. He makes the case that instead of trying to feel less and avoid pain and stress, we need to build emotional fitness, especially our capacity for strength, balance, and focus.

Story
The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Definitely worth a try
Everyone has stress or had anxiety from time to time, and this book presents some exercises or actions to help reduce or eliminate these things. I definitely found some of the strategies to be something I will try out and hopefully it will have seemingly lasting results. It has many different things that can help out and usually shows some case studies to help back up things presented. The narration by Harry Williams is solid and presents everything clearly and at a decent pace. If you are looking to eliminate some stress triggers or change some habits to eliminate them this book will definitely give you some ideas.

Reduce Stress and Live Longer
Conquer Stress and Live an Anxiety Free Lifestyle was a great listen. I liked the interactiveness of the audiobook with answering a few questions and rating your stress. There are many of the things this book touched upon that I've tried for reducing my stress. I try to keep busy with hobbies and meditate frequently. There are a few excellent and inexpensive apps that offer guided meditations which I like the best. This book talks about exercises including yoga that are great. I enjoyed the book a lot however I didn't care for the last 10-15 minutes. With that said, I think it's worth a listen.
Harry Roger Williams III did a wonderful job reading this audiobook. He spoke clearly and was easy to listen to. He made it better.

I enjoyed the listen
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I actually found this to be an interesting and potentially helpful listen. There really were actionable suggestions put forth with some supporting evidence. I would want to research the use cases more thoroughly, and actually try some of these techniques before I'd say they are truly life changing... but I didn't hear anything that I don't think would be benificial to do in anyone's life. The narrator did a good job of keeping the content interesting to listen to and clear to understand.

Everyone needs to listen
This is sometimes basic but we must really practice it everyday in order to live more presently and without stress! The tips and situations described are so relatable and suggestions to improve them are really doable. I think this is a book that should be listened to every year to refresh and remind ourselves of daily actions we can take to remove stress from our lives. simple things like planning ahead etc make a huge difference, I speak from experience on acting on these recommendations!
