Everyone knows about Santa Claus of course and his wonderful trip around the world on the night before Christmas. But what about his early life? Where was he born? What was he like as a youth? How did he come to be such a wonderful toymaker? When did he start using the Reindeer? And, most importantly, how has he been able to live so very long?

While there, they get embroiled in a political rivalry between good King Kynd and the notorious usurper Krewl. When the Scarecrow gets wind of the trouble via Glinda’s Great Book of Records (a kind of precursor to the internet), he joins the fight between good and evil.

When the Scarecrow is chased off the throne by a usurper, a small team of heroes must help him reclaim it. But is the Scarecrow the true ruler of Oz?

Together with her companions the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion whom she meets on the way, Dorothy embarks on a strange and enchanting adventure.

His workmen, selected from the ryls, knooks, pixies and fairies, live with him, and everyone is as busy as can be from one year's end to another. One would think that our good old Santa Claus, who devotes his days to making children happy, would have no enemies on all the Earth; and, as a matter of fact, for a long period of time he encountered nothing but love wherever he might go.

Glinda and Dorothy travel to an obscure corner of Oz to prevent a war between the Skeezers and the Flatheads. When the Skeezers imprison them on a glass-covered island at the bottom of a lake, Glinda and Dorothy must call upon their magical friends to rescue them. The last of the original Oz books written by L. Frank Baum, this story was dedicated to his son, Robert.
