Story
Early True Believers: The Untold Story of Silicon Alley is a 1990s saga of ambition and innovation set in Manhattan’s Silicon Alley, a swath of downtown that served as New York City’s nerve center of tech entrepreneurship. The series features the stories of a forgotten cohort of early internet visionaries, countercultural social networks, the digital gold rush, and the lavish events that came with it, including one held in an underground Tribeca bunker that abruptly ended in a police raid—a harbinger of the upheaval to come.

Story
The grid is an accident of history and of culture, in no way intrinsic to how we produce, deliver and consume electrical power. Yet this is the system the United States ended up with, a jerry-built structure now so rickety and near collapse that a strong wind or a hot day can bring it to a grinding halt. The grid is now under threat from a new source: renewable and variable energy, which puts stress on its logics as much as its components.

Look around you. Artificial intelligence is no longer just a futuristic notion. It's here right now - in software that senses what we need, supply chains that "think" in real time, and robots that respond to changes in their environment. Twenty-first-century pioneer companies are already using AI to innovate and grow fast. The bottom line is this: Businesses that understand how to harness AI can surge ahead. Those that neglect it will fall behind. Which side are you on?

Brain imaging research is showing that stimulating glowing screens are as dopaminergic (dopamine activating) to the brain’s pleasure center as sex. And a growing mountain of clinical research correlates screen tech with disorders like ADHD, addiction, anxiety, depression, increased aggression, and even psychosis.

Run a Google search for “black girls” - what will you find? “Big Booty” and other sexually explicit terms are likely to come up as top search terms. But, if you type in “white girls”, the results are radically different. The suggested porn sites and un-moderated discussions about “why black women are so sassy” or “why black women are so angry” presents a disturbing portrait of black womanhood in modern society. In Algorithms of Oppression, Safiya Umoja Noble challenges the idea that search engines like Google offer an equal playing field for all forms of ideas, identities, and activities.

Artificial intelligence does the seemingly impossible - driving cars, trading stocks, and teaching children. But facing the sea change that AI will bring can be paralyzing. How should companies set strategies, governments design policies, and people plan their lives for a world so different from what we know? In Prediction Machines, three eminent economists recast the rise of AI as a drop in the cost of prediction. With this single, masterful stroke, they lift the curtain on the AI-is-magic hype and show how basic tools from economics provide clarity about the AI revolution and a basis for action by CEOs, managers, policy makers, investors, and entrepreneurs.

a short and critical guide
It's a short book, just a little over half hour, but it's very clear, and gives very hands on operational guide to using AI and ChatGPT. you can basically follow the step by steps to start using ChatGPT, and optimize it. There are also some examples in it that you can try, just follow the voice. You can have the software running at the side, while listening to the audio. It's like having an experienced tutor showing you how to do these complicated tasks standing right next to you.

A good place for the reluctant to start
I agree with the introduction that suggested if we adopt AI we are coordinating our efforts with technology. Even computer programmers are writing code faster with ChatGPT. I now have an account and can write much faster. Saves time on mundane tasks too. Looking forward to trying more stuff. Thanks for the quick start.

Beginners Guide to ChatGPT
It was a good representation of an introduction to ChatGPT. I liked how it felt as if I was being informed by long lost uncle. The narration was good and the information was clear. The beginning kind of scared me about how the world is going to change tremendously. Not all doom and gloom though! If you are 60 years or older and would like to learn about ChatGPT, this is the first guide you should purchase!

Absolute Beginner Guide
GREAT if you are an absolute beginner to technology and AI, but not as great if you are looking for new tips or practical strategies with Chat GPT. I found it showcased a broad way to use it but does not go deep into any specific examples or ways even the author uses it. The last chapter on ethical concerns was a helpful reminder to check for accuracy and know what AI is and isn't from a human perspective.

Good Intro, I wish It was Longer Though
This is a basic guide and solid introduction to AI and ChaptGPT. If you are a beginner and are looking to learn about this software and the AI revolution, you'll want to listen to this audiobook. The step-by-step instructions help to guide you through the world of AI and how to use ChatGPT. The author makes sure to imbue you with the knowledge and skills to "communicate" with ChatGPT and give you prompts for questions to ask it and ensure that you get the best output possible. It is short, though, and it doesn't dive too deep into it. There are other prompts you would have to be more specific about, but that's not what this book is about. It's meant for beginners and offers an introduction. It's up to you to keep up with all the updates and ways to apply them to your daily life.

A Practical and Engaging Introduction to the World
One of the things I appreciated most about this audiobook is how accessible it is. Whether you’re a complete novice or someone with a bit of experience, The Machine Whisperer walks you through everything from setting up your account to mastering the art of AI conversation. The explanations are straightforward, and the narrator’s tone is engaging and friendly, making even the more technical aspects easy to digest.
The real-world examples are a standout feature. Instead of getting bogged down in theory, this guide shows you how to use ChatGPT in practical ways—whether it’s brainstorming ideas, automating tasks, or just having a bit of fun. The examples sparked my creativity and got me thinking about all the ways I could integrate AI into my daily life. Plus, the troubleshooting tips are incredibly handy, especially when you’re just starting out and might hit a few bumps along the way.
