The real stories behind the scenery of America’s national parks. For 12 years, Andrea Lankford lived in the biggest, most impressive national parks in the world, working a job she loved. She chaperoned baby sea turtles on their journey to sea. She pursued bad guys on her galloping patrol horse. She jumped into rescue helicopters bound for the heart of the Grand Canyon. She won arguments with bears. She slept with a few too many rattlesnakes. Hell yeah, it was the best job in the world! Fortunately, Andrea survived it.

The “mountain men” were the hunters and trappers who fiercely strode the Rocky Mountains in the early to mid-1800s. They braved the elements in search of the skins of beavers and other wild animals, to sell or barter for goods. The lifestyle of the mountain men could be harsh, existing as they did among animals, and spending most of their days and nights living and camping out in the great unexplored wilds of the Rockies.

This book answered a lot of our questions and more
With family roots in the Philippines, my parents have been seriously considering retiring back there, and this audiobook couldn’t have come at a better time. It covered every question we had—and a bunch we didn’t even think to ask. From navigating healthcare to finding housing and budgeting in a practical way, this guide dives into details that make the idea of relocating feel less daunting and way more achievable. The section on managing finances once you’re living there was especially helpful. It’s not just a list of facts; it gives you a real feel for what the experience would actually be like. My parents are feeling a lot more confident about the possibility, and so am I. It’s a fantastic resource for anyone considering this big move.

A lot of great info for your move
I've been listening to various audiobooks for places I'm considering moving to when I retire. This one offers a great amount of information on relocating to the Philippines. I appreciated learning about the visa process and healthcare options, since this differs from the United States. The island has a lot to offer, and this audiobook breaks down the various luxuries of living in the Philippines. Take a listen if you're planning to move there or consider it!
