After a near death experience out in the tunnels that cross the depths of a dead world, Ethan is back on his feet and ready for more. As he discovers it in the form of some nearby campgrounds, the trio begin making a new home and learning how to manage their budding relationship.

Doom has come to Ara Island. As the first snow of the cold days begins to fall from slate gray skies, a massive burst of dark magic is released. His plans cast aside, his tribe broken, his world thrown into blood-drenched chaos, Jak plunges into the dark maw of certain death to save who he can.

Though it's hardly been a few weeks since he found Fiona the beautiful snake girl and Jezzy the seductive succubus and learned of their plan to fix up an old inn to try and help bridge the gap between the various races, it feels like months have passed. With his previous situation resolved and two very attractive women now in his company, Chris takes on his next task: getting Delilah to her intended destination. Theoretically, it should be a straight shot down a long highway. Only in this new frozen wasteland of a world, nothing is ever simple. What would have been less than a two-hour drive in the old days is now possibly a two-week trek through icy hell. With his alliances set and his home secure, Jak has truly begun his war against the Tolvar. Likely not the greatest threat on the island he is trying to bring peace to, they still represent a significant problem and must be dealt with if harmony is ever to be achieved. But as he and his fellow warriors begin laying waste to Tolvar warparties and launching their campaign of primeval warfare, all is not as it seems. Jak is convinced he's missing something, something crucial, and in the midst of all this primitive bloodshed, mysteries are about to be solved, and new problems will unfold.

In the wake of the successful attack on the group of raiders that had been harassing the whole region for months on end, including burning down River View, David and his group realize that now is no time to rest. If anything, the time has come to step up their game and start taking their role as community leaders more seriously.

What remains of Pine Lake is a dead end, and the best hope for Chris, the women he loves, and the denizens of the settlement now lay in a town of preppers living on an island a few hundred miles to the north. All of their faith is now being put into that settlement, and the train that Chris discovered and Fay repaired. Even with a mostly functional train and a lot of luck, it will still be a long journey. Any number of dangers, environmental, animal, and human, could lay in between them and their destination.

Two weeks have passed since the last direct assault on his new home, and a string of bad blizzards have kept him from doing much more than making occasional ventures into the wilderness to look for supplies. But now the blizzards have passed, and he and his friends are determined. They've painted a target on the thieves that have terrorized this region for the past several months, and intend to eliminate them.

Having been knocked unconscious at the beginning of the surprise attack, David awakens to a nightmare: two days have passed, and the Marauders own everything. All of the settlements are completely under their control, almost everyone in the whole region has been captured, and their patrols are everywhere. But it isn't all hopeless. They've prepared for this, and as David heads out into the night to learn just how bad things are, he begins running into his friends who are still free and very much active.

Six weeks have passed since the official founding of the settlement known as Haven. In that time, things have settled into a nice routine for David and the ladies in his life. He's been surprised to learn that he actually makes a half-decent village leader, though he imagines some of that has to do with the fact that he shares the job with three very capable women. But things have been going well.

The long journey down the highway has come to an end, and as Chris and his girls at last find the town of Pine Lake, they discover that tragedy has struck. Raiders have burned down almost the entire town. Most of the population is dead, missing, or scattered across the region. Food reserves and medicine stocks were lost in the fire. Dangerous men and animals roam the frozen wilderness as temperatures plummet.
