Stretched to reach page count?

It was a great story, but obviously stretched out to reach some kind of minimum length. The rehashing over and over again of plot points already covered was annoying. And that was a shame because the book would have been so much stronger without all the filler.

Plot was a little thin

It felt like there was a lot of build-up and not a lot of action or substance in the middle, then a lot of epilogue type content at the end. I kept waiting for something really shocking or exciting to happen but it was meh.

Good enough read

I debated about giving this a 4 star rating. athe story was a good idea and I liked the idea of her working between two rivals. I just wasn't invested in the character. She was kind of flat and I didn't feel the connection to her family. Still a good enough read.l because of the story. and

Easy but great listen

Was engaging from the start, was a nice easy summer listen. I listened in one day.

Visualization

Details are great for visualization of the story. I loved every word as the story unfolded.

Good story

Good story. Good narration. Lots of calculating characters. A waitress at a fancy restaurant in a fancy building meets Mr. fancy owner, just as she planned.

Good twists but wrong message

I love this author and I liked this one, until the end. The way the main character gets where she ends up is not courageous or a win for women.

Interesting story

I liked not knowing what was going to happen next, it was a very good story that I hadn’t heard a version of before.

Great narration and good story

Liked the characters but the ending was a bit meh. The book as a whole was good though

Suspense and Twists

I really enjoyed this book. It went from down under two way on top to Downunder to weigh on top. Take a while and read it. I think you’ll relax and enjoy it.
