Truly wonderful performance and grand story

This book is truly great! My absolute favorite of J.K. Rolling! I so love the narrative and narration it was simply fantastic!

Expanding on the Wizarding World, Sort Of

Would you consider the audio edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Book 4 to be better than the print version?

Yes, the narrator's voice make each character distinct and bring the story to life.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Book 4?

My pick for this is either the Quidditch World Cup or when the other schools arrive for the Triwizard Tournament, but for the same reason: they both expand on the wizarding world.

When Dobby helps Harry because “Dobby cannot let Harry Potter lose his Wheezy!”

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Everything in regards to Cedric Diggory, but particularly this quote said by Dumbledore: “Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.”

Too long, and only gets good at end

This 20 hour novel should have been edited down to about 12 hours. Very little happens in the first half. It's a bit repetitive and boring, and too long. Maybe I might have liked it more had I waited months to get the next installment, but I just finished #3 a month ago. This Harry Potter does get darker in the last third, and that's when it gets good. I will continue listening to this series, but I will wait much longer before tackling #5.

Exciting and Enjoyable

A lot better than the movie of course, this goes into a lot more detail of the games and going on and the in betweens. This is, to me, where the beginning of the grittiness comes in and begins to fully become dark, with the first major death affecting current day Harry comes into play.

I can't believe how addicting this book series is with every book the main character falls deeper and deeper into a unbelievable world of drama that leaves you with a over powering feeling to have to know what happens to this one boy and his epic tale!

Wonderful performance

Jim Dale is an artist. Every character has a completely unique voice. I've listened to the entire series and he didn't make one character slip in any of the books. I am in awe of his abilities.

Best of the series so far

It’s been years since I’ve ready the Harry Potter books I remember reading the goblet of fire the first day it came out in 2000 I’m going back now listening to the whole series on audible and it is so good the narrating is great I can’t say enough good things about this series.
