If you could sum up Situational Depression in three words, what would they be?

helpful, reassuring, calming

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Situational Depression?

When I'm facing a crisis, I'll remember the words of this book and realize I am having a natural reaction to the situation and won't give myself such a hard time.

Any additional comments?

While there are many books covering depression, there are fewer covering this specific type of depression. When you know that ordinarily you don't suffer from depression, but because something bad has happened, perhaps a bereavement or a relationship breakup, you are feeling depressed then you have situational depression, ie. your depression is due to your personal situation.

This book is clearly narrated and will help you to rationalise the way you are feeling. It covers the reasons you feel the way you do and points out some symptoms that may indicate you are suffering from situational depression.

It goes on to give you some advice on how to cope, some techniques to help you deal with your situation and some good motivational tips.

While often time is the main healer when life throws something bad at us, this book can help you accelerate that process a little.

This is a short and extremely basic, intuitive advice. I did not find it helpful.
