A complex maze of lies and truth, wrong and right, heartbreak and healing, when you finally reach the center you find a slow burn love story that will mend your tattered pieces.
I've now not only read this author's amazing words but have now enjoyed listening as two very talented narrators brought the Devil of Bonesalt and his lovely obsession to life. So worth the 17+ hours of listening pleasure.

Good but difficult
This book was well written. Great plot twist throughout the story. Personally, it was hard to listen to the torture and sadism, but it's a big part of the storyline.

feeling a little bored
I felt that the MMC and the FMC were both boring. They were too in their own world to even notice what was going on around them. I also felt that there wasn't any depth to their romance. I also felt that the plot line fell flat for me.

dark romance
I will start by saying that both of the narrators did a great job! I'm not a huge "dark" romance person and so some parts of the book seemed a bit "grr" to me. It's not dark dark but some moments made me feel very uncomfortable (maybe I didn't read some of the trigger warnings are I wouldn't have bought it). The romance part is well done, the steamy parts good too. Would I recommend this book to a friend: "maybe" but with a several warnings.
