About this listen

VISIONS OF FLESH AND BLOOD: a Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium is a comprehensive companion guide for background, history, reader-favorite information, and reference materials. Combined with original short stories and scenes from some of the world’s most beloved characters, it’s a treat for the senses.

Told from the point of view of Miss Willa herself, the compendium acts like research material but reads like a journal and cache of personal notes, allowing the reader to revisit the characters and history they so love yet view things in a different way.

VISIONS OF FLESH AND BLOOD by Jennifer L. Armentrout with Rayvn Salvador is a must-add addition to the series that any Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire fan will enjoy.

visions of flesh and blood

I LOVE the series, but this is a disappointment. The entire book is just a recap/summary for each character (over and over again) and aren't even told from a different perspective. The few "additions" are boring and don't provided anything to the story. I also bought the Kindle version for the art, neither are worth the cost.

Information but boring - felt like she just didn’t want to write the next book in the series

She mostly just re told the story over and over again it was cool at first and I was excited or Kerins chapter but like 80% of it was just the retelling of the books - I love the narrator tho

ok

Book 5 and 6 should have been one book. The author should have waited longer to give us a full Book continuing where we left off at book 4. 🤬😭

A review that wasn’t really needed

Jennifer has a writing type that over reviews the information given in the text. So this book wasn’t actually needed. The info dumping and the same comparisons are repetitive. Like how many times do I have to hear that Cas is like that illusive cave cat. The storyline is fun but every book is over written and could be cut by at least 100 pages.

disappointing

Unnecessary. A recap of everything we already read. Waste of a credit. Wish it was just a continuation of the story line.

I want my credit back!

Love these series but what was the point of this book? This just seems like a money grab. Don’t do stuff like this if you want to keep a loyal fan base. Disappointing.

do not buy

I guess when the author runs out of ideas she just decided to write the same stuff again as another recap book. Waste of money, book 5.1

It’s a dictionary - it’s not a story it’s a reference

I didn’t read all the info and didn’t get that this is a reference guide. I am bummed this was an expensive purchase

Did not enjoy the repeated semi stories over and over again. expected the story to continue from the previous book

I found the book boring, overly repetitive, disappointed that it did not continue the story.

Not impressed

I’ve been waiting for so long for what happened to Poppy from when she woke up from stasis and what happen to Sara and Ash. All this book do is just repeats the stories from EVERYONE’S point perspective and never got to the catch. Was very annoying. It also listed random songs that they would play and had random short stories of Ms. Willa that really didn’t even make sense to add in. I really hope the author is making another book that will pick up from the cliffhangers in other last books.
