About this listen

Jill Sherer Murray stayed in a dead-end relationship into her forties before she finally let it go. She was like millions of women who struggle with whether to stay in a bad relationship, or give up on love altogether, believing it isn’t in the cards. You may be grappling with a similar decision, terrified of being single but feeling like you’re not living the life you want.

Based on Murray’s popular TEDx Talk, Big Wild Love will put you on the path to change. In it, she shows you how letting go of feeling stuck, afraid, and alone, and of believing what you’ve got is all you deserve can free you from a life that isn’t serving you. She knows this is true, because she did it herself and attracted the love and life she wanted. Through her story, other women’s stories, surprising facts and statistics, and helpful exercises, Big Wild Love will show you the way back to the self you’ve lost and teach you that it’s never too late to start anew and find the big wild love you deserve.

This Book is a Game Changer!

I’m a therapist and a big self-help reader and have never read a book that offers as much incredible wisdom and insights as this book, while also providing a very clear path on for finding “big wild love” in our lives. Jill is such a good writer. She’s funny, honest and encouraging. Such an easy and important read!

Practical, Powerful... and Gender-Specific

I first heard of "Big Wild Love" in a podcast for people going through or approaching divorce. I am in that group. So, the idea of learning how to strategically let go of beliefs and relationships that did not serve really resonated with me. I eagerly bought the audiobook and e-book. As hoped for, l Sherer-Murray offered moving examples from her own life and others about why it is vital to Let Go regularly. What seemed less clear was how to navigate through feelings of rejection and resentment in the process.

It was also hard to hear every example coming from a female, almost entirely heterosexual perspective. In the process, it took a lot of energy not to personalize the issues needing to be let go of as problems of gender and not of humanity. The book would rate a 5/5 if the author broadened her message to be more welcoming and took into account the complex emotions associated with letting go in the face of contention.
