The writing style is refreshingly engaging for a finance book. The author avoids unnecessary jargon and adds a touch of storytelling, making it enjoyable to read from start to finish.

Amazing compilation of money stories

I appreciated the variety of stories and perspectives. I’m so glad JL included international views that were enlightening for me to hear. It speaks to the global impact he’s had with his simple approach.

The real life stories

It’s good to hear of all the different people that started from scratch to achieve financial independence. I’m starting from square one currently and this gives me confidence.

Interesting stories, horrible male voice actor

J. L. Collins is great, but this audiobook was 50% unlistenable for me because of the terrible and over the top voice acting of the male reader. I recommend the book, but if there is another version: get that one.

Not nearly as good as the first book

The voice actors chosen were really hard to listen to. The constant changing of characters and attempts at random accents (only a few slips and probably not intentional) we’re super distracting.

The concept is great; real world examples of people who followed the path but I could have used my credit elsewhere

Mostly stores without real financial advice

If you are looking for a book for specific financial advice, this isn’t the book for you. Instead read The simple path to wealth. I read this one thinking he would have updated information or advice from his previous book mentioned above, and it was mainly a collection of people’s stories from different walks of life trying to walk the simple path. Most don’t give specific information, only generalizations. Good book but not what I was going for.

Inspirational stories!

A well organized book full of great stories. The only improvement that could have been made would have been to have JL read it himself!
