Very Basic Money Topics/Boring Reader

This book could have been 1/4 of the length. Very boring and the concepts were VERY basic. I learned two things 1. Life energy when it comes to money 2. Check out treasuries.

Fair

Perhaps good for the beginner but way too long for my taste. The last 2 chapters were decent.

Excellent.

The hype is real folks. I look forward to charting my metrics (income, expenses, savings) on a big graph.

I enjoyed it

It really helped me to reign in my impulse purchases and focus on other areas where I should spend that money by paying down debt. I had way too much lifestyle creep that I ignored for a few years. I was able to pay off my 30 year mortgage in 7 years off by being more intentional with both spending and saving.

A must if you're seeking financial freedom

I felt like I was seeing a financial psychologist, and was given a prescription of common sense and wisdom. Was well narrated by the author Vicki.
Highly recommend and a must if you're part of the FIRE Movement.

Great book informing the pathway to financial independence consistent with my values. Do your self a favor and read the books and take the steps.

Classic, simple concepts to live by.

I have listened to this so many times now. I find her voice comforting. And her message timeless.

Mediocre at best

There are probably more relevant books nowadays. Unless you want recommendations like:

- go exploit a cheaper country than yours!
- become a scab! Companies love that and will get you promoted!

You can’t call yourself eco-conscious and at the same time advocate for the exploitation of poorer countries.

Also, it’s quite easy to live a FI lifestyle when you don’t live past your thirties.

Narrator sounds drunk

I wish there was a different more lively narrator. I’m interested in the contents but not the narrator

Great information on taking charge of your life

Holistic approach to prioritizing and implementing the life we all dream of having. I loved all the advice about valuing your time and your job and also creative ways of becoming financially independent. I feel so empowered to take on my life.
