Grumpy Sunshine Indeed

I didn’t notice the post-colon title until writing this review; it is not just a “Legacy of Gods” book, but God of Pain is also a “grumpy sunshine college romance.” It makes it sound a bit sweeter than it actually is, and lord knows that Cray Cray was portrayed as a nearly mute grunter in the last book, so I was pleased to see he had a bit more going on than just Oscar living in the trash can in his head….

So: super sweet, crowd-pleaser girl (masochist—lol don’t I know it!) is attracted to another sadist (slightly less sociopathic than Killian), and I guess we are supposed to go along with the tying up, spanking, and whipping of Miss Daisy Sunshine Pants. This guy takes possession to levels I was deeply uncomfortable with, but Annicka’s family life sort of primed her to become a captive to a caveman someday, so yeah.

The pace and spice kept this one grooving along. I only skipped a few chapters. Highly recommend listening while doing the most banal domestic tasks. It helped.

RINA this is why you are one of my favorite authors, you know what you’re doing !!!! Ugh words can’t explain how much I loved this book. It had everything you look for in a dark romance, sexy scenes😏(hottt), possessive male, hero who will do literally anything to be with the girl he loves. And don’t get me started on Annika! What a queen. I loved her sm! She was sweet but also not afraid to stand up for herself. I loved that she never gave up on her family. Her bound with her brother Jeremy was everything! Her and creigh were so cute and just a little bit toxic but that’s what made the story so good lol! 5/5⭐️ 5/5🌶

One of my favorite universes

I am absolutely obsessed with Rina Kent at this point. I loved Creighton and Annika so much. The story had so much spice and the twists at the end with the plot were crazy! I genuinely did not know what was going to happen next in this book but I was happy to be along for the ride

I loved the storyline, you felt every emotion and wanted more. I loved God of Malice and I’m glad I got to read this one. Can’t wait for the next book!

I loved this book!

Creigh was exactly what I wanted him to be. I always loved Annika’s character and her nickname Creigh gives her. I just melted when I heard it.

Fantastic voices!

I love this story, it’s my favorite one out of the LOG series. The voices of the narrators for Creighton and Annika fit the characters for this book so well!

It keeps getting better!

This book has so many twist and turns I loved it! Both MC are strong and so made for each others. Spicy! I can’t wait to hear the next one!

Okay, first off not as unhinged as killian, but still here for it! I love my babies Annika and Creighton, they were so cute 🥹! I loved how they called Creighton, Creigh-Creigh 😂. Also, really liked how close Creighton and Eli are even though Eli is A little rough around the edges his relationship with Creighton was 🫶🏽! The Volkovs are 🤌🏽🤌🏽! Okay but for real the story was amazing, they were truly grumpy and sunshine indeed!!

I would seriously listen to this man read a cereal box. I think he has the sexiest voice. I wish he had more books to listen to. Anyway, I read God of malice and wasn’t to keen to keep going. But when I saw he was the narrator, I bought it immediately. And this book was better than the first. I’m not sure if I enjoyed the story better because I just enjoyed Creigh and Annika better, or because I adore James Joseph. But either way.. very wonderful book.
