Wonderfully Filthy
I loved this story the Hero was an %#@ with interesting layers just the way I like it. The Heroine was strong and relatable. LJS delivered another masterpiece!
Before the pandemic I listened/read a book a day. These last two months it’s been maybe 5 new finished... total Now 6 The Hunter gave me all the FEELS.

HUNTER FITZPATRICK!! There is just something so special about him. He is pure gold. His humor, his banter, his heart. He is literally everything. ❤️❤️
I have never met a hero that fits the term FULL PACKAGE as perfectly as Hunter does. ( And no, I'm not just talking about what he has in his pants.) His heart is beautiful, a fellow reader described him as having a heart and soul of pure gold and that's the best description of him. He is hilarious and can banter with and charm anyone. I could live in his head all day and probably laugh non-stop.
SAILOR BRENNAN is fierce and has a take no prisoners attitude that you just fall in love with. She doesn't scare easily, doesn't back down, and is loyal to those she loves. She has a sweet side but she will take you down if she needs too. It was beautiful to see her come out of her shell and embrace and live life.
L.J. Shen did a fantastic job creating this world and setting the stage for the rest of the series.
The side characters are next level brilliant and though they never outshine Hunter or Sailor the intriguing details leave you craving more of them.
This is a MUST read, must re-read, must own paperback.
So excited for the next in the series The Villian. Can't freakin Wait!

Overall good
This was hard to get through. The male main character Hunter was really hard for me to like is he was just so slutty. He did redeem himself a little. To only be 19 & be has slurry as he was, really was a turn off. Sailor was one strong lady, she was so bullied. I felt her insecurities and felt really bad for her at times. She stayed strong, she continued on.
Narration was good. They made enough references to Boston I could have done without the accent, it was distracting. Jason Clarke & Virginia Rose are a couple of my faves which is one reason I got this.

Love love love it
I love all the characters in this story. Excelleny plot, excellent and unique story line and happy ending always! Shen really is a good writer with timeline from Vaugn and knoghts story too.....so neat how the books events werr in line with this. 💝

Good but not great
The story was a little thin but I did enjoy the banter and the relevant dialogue. I enjoyed Jason Clarke’s performance but not as much with Virginia Rose’s performance (she kept slipping back and forth between two different accents.) Overall I think it was a good listen.
