Gut Wrenching - but in the best way
Lawd! This one was a doozy, so well written, makes you feel everything. But broke my heart a million times over. So happy I read this masterpiece but will definitely need something light following this one. Feel like this will live on repeat in my mind for months.

This is beautifully written. Achingly uncomfortable at moments. Hurts so good until the bitter end. Worth all the painful moments. A hard fought love ❤️

All the angsty feels!!
The narration for this is absolutely wonderful. The writing is wonderful! The story will break you and keep you drawn in for every word. Absolutely recommend. I went into this blind not really knowing what to expect, I've read other books by Jennifer Hartmann and this is another knock out, if you've liked her other books or books like birthday girl this is for you.

An emotional rollercoaster
There aren't a lot of age-gap novels that do it right in my experience. This one did. There are even fewer novels that do trauma/abuse survival in a realistic way in my experience. This one did.
