One thing I really loved was the action scene(s), they actually really were heart pumping and felt like you were there witnessing the events. It really centered my focus as I read. That was pretty cool.
But when I finally got to the first action scene in Audio, it was a amazing, cause the audio enhances your mental image of the scene(s).
What a freaking great read, you’re one edge the entire time and the narrators as well were Fantastic!

Duet Style

I’m so glad this was told in duet style because i was able to follow the story better. However I wish the Sasha narrator had masked her voice a bit more when speaking dialogue to make it authentic to the story

I tried again

I originally returned the book after listening to the first few pages. Gave it a try again and totally got immersed in the story.

Addictive and thrilling!

THIS is how you write mafia romance! These narrators did a fabulous job of portraying the multi-layered Sasha and the dark and dangerous Kirill.

What I loved most about this book was the fast pace of it. I love the suspense and thrill that comes with a good mafia romance, and I found myself not wanting to stop listening to this one because I had to know what was going to happen next.

Not only was the storyline addictive, but the push, pull and development of Sasha & Kirill's relationship is so unique that you can't help but be drawn into it.

Sasha is a QUEEN. She is unlike any other heroine I have read, and I am here 100% for her and her HEA. I can't wait for book 2. Well done R Kent!

Amazing!!!

This book was heartbreaking, full of twist and turns, angsty , filled with delicious spicy scenes and in true Rina Kent completely addictive from page one. I listened to the audiobook of this story and Sebastian York and Brooke Daniels did a fantastic job, they were the best bringing all the emotions of this book to life.

Sasha's goals in life is to protect the few people in her family she has left and to find answers for the massacre of almost her entire family and to avenge their deaths. In order to do this she needs to completely disappear becoming someone else and in her case she decides to post as a man and join the Russian army. I love Sasha determination to become stronger, she trained non stop but in order to be better she needed to learn from the best, and the best was Captain Kirril Morozov.

At the beginning Kirril didn't pay much attention to Sasha aka private Alexander but little by little he saw more of her strength and determination, her never quitting personality and her intelligence. He knew her secret from the beginning but never mention nothing giving her the privacy of her choice. When a mission goes bad he needs to help Sasha stay alive at all cost and I think from this part on I fell in love with him because being the monster everybody though he was made sure Sasha was safe and when it was time to return to the US, he chooses Sasha as one of his personal body guards.

This story was full of action and even though it was more of a slow burn there were plenty of steamy scenes and an overprotectiveness from Kirril towards Sasha that was so hot.

The cliffhanger ending was just so shocking and I need the next book in this series ASAP because OMG... I need answers.

Loved Kirill and Sasha

Rina Kent has become a favorite to read and her latest book is a thrilling, dark military romance with a mafia twist. Blood of my Monster is the first book in the trilogy featuring Kirill and Sasha. This story reminds me of Mulan, as Sasha enlists in the Russian Military as a man to find the truth of her family’s murder. There, her path crosses with Kirill, a fearless, cold, commanding captain who takes her under his protection while keeping her secret. The whole story is fast paced full of twists and turns. The chemistry between Kirill and Sasha is an intense, slow burn build up that implodes with fierce passion. Sasha is one of two people, able to penetrate Kirill’s cold, hard demeanor. Kirill’s attraction to Sasha is dark, forbidden and consuming.
Furthermore, the narration by Sebastian You’re and Brooke Daniels was incredible. This is read in duet style making the story come to life. Sebastian York and Brook Daniels make a phenomenal duo narrating as Kirill and Sasha. They are able to capture each other personalities and emotions. This was a captivating beginning to this trilogy and I can’t wait to see what happens next after the shocking cliffhanger.

Loved this book and listening made it easier cause I would not have been able to a couple of words....and I mean Sebastian York saying makes it sound so much better. Love Brooke Daniel's she did such a good job too. The story is so good and well paced it's not forced. And ahhhhh that ending!!!

Good mafia romance

This is the first book in the Monster Trilogy. I really enjoyed this new mafia romance. Sasha and Kirill’s story was a bit suspenseful, packed with non stop action. The tension between the two can definitely be felt. That cliffhanger is a doozy though! Excited to see where the story goes in the next book.

Sebastian York and Brooke Daniels did a really good job portraying Sasha and Kirill. I really enjoyed this audiobook.
