About this listen

1. Hate - screw my high school nemesis.

2. Remember to hate him.

3. Prove my brother wrong.

It should be easy. It isn't.

As the owner of Pick-A-D*ck, New Orleans' premier hook-up website, my job is simple. Connect two people for a no-strings, no-expectations hook-up. The plus for my clients is that I'm the one who gets to sift through the d*ck pics - except this time, they're required.

My problem? My brother, co-owner of Pick-A-D*ck's sister dating site, doesn't believe it's possible to hook up with someone three times and not fall in love. I disagree. I know it's possible. And my disagreement is exactly how I end up reconnected with my high school nemesis, Elliott Sloane. The guy who asked me to junior prom and then stood me up. Who egged my car when I rejected him, and convinced my senior homecoming date to ghost me.

It should be easy to hate - screw him. If only he was still that person, instead of a hot-as-hell single dad, working as a builder to make ends' meet, fighting for custody of his daughter. Three hook-ups. One outcome. Right?

Contains mature themes.

So funny

This is the third book by Emma Hart that I've read and listened to and all I can say is that she has the talent of bringing the funny goofy way men react to us women to life. Love the stories.

Hooked me!!!!

So often romantic comedies fall short on either the romance or the comedy. This book gives you the proper dose of both. My first Emma Hart book and it was totally worth the credit. Loretta Rawlins’ was amazing and I’m happy to see she is narrating the next book.

Loved the Narration

The narration was great, the story was meh, and pretty unrealistic for many of the plot points.

Loved it!

Great low angst, enemies to lovers romance. I can't believe this is my first Emma Hart book because I adored it to pieces. The audio was first class! This book was the first time in a long time where I liked the heroine more than the hero and in my eyes that's a good thing.

Peyton was what most women want to be. Confident, Successful and knows she's a catch. Definitely needed this read after my last few ones!

Emma Hart is an auto-buy for me!

I feel like really this is part of a series with one of the first Emma Hart books I read, The Upside to Being Single. And if you read the whole synopsis below, it does say that our main character, Peyton, is in that story. But I guess it isn’t technically a part of a series with that one. Doesn’t matter though because I still loved it! The characters were so great. A lot of things about Peyton totally reminded me of myself. Also, I think her bet is possible, three times without falling in love, but not with someone you already have such a history with! Someone you’d had a crush on, and then when we find out he has a daughter? An adorable little daughter? How is that not just totally something you wouldn’t automatically fall in love with? There was so much fun in this story, and I totally loved the scenes with Chloe and Peyton’s brother as well, so I can’t wait to read their story at some point too. Once again Emma Hart totally makes me love her stories and pretty much has sealed herself as one of my all-time favorite authors, probably auto-buy!

Great story and awesome narration!

After reading The Upside to Being Single I was not so patiently awaiting Peyton’s book and it did not disappoint. It was funnier, wittier, and more charming than I could have dreamed. Peyton and Elliot were romantic comedy perfection. Their push-and-pull attraction translated into sizzling hot chemistry and mouthwatering sexual tension in and out of the bedroom. And did I mention the banter? Because I love good banter and Emma Hart gives freaking amazeballs banter! But seriously, even with all that goodness I think Elliot’s daughter stole the show for me and my heart. Gah! I’m a sucker for kids.
Deliciously sexy, funny as hell, and everything outstanding is precisely what The Hook-Up Experiment is! The perfect mix of enemies to lovers and romantic comedy with Emma Hart awesome sprinkles on top.

Narration was done by Loretta Rawlings and Aiden Snow. Both new to me narrators and loved them together and individually. Have I been under a rock? Because Aiden Snow was the perfect mix of sexy and funny and I wanted more! Ms. Rawlings was just as great. I especially liked her southern drawl and excellent comedic timing. I need more audio from these two, stat! 5 Stars.

Fun, saucy, HEA

This was a fun book to read! It had some spice, was a great story and was pretty realistic as far as the story line. Love the frenemies to lovers theme and can’t wait to read the next book about her brother!

Painfully cute

Funny and easy storyline. Snow’s voice was great Female voice was the painful part. Her voice is cartoonish but monotone.
I liked the chemistry of the characters and that’s what kept me interested to keep listening. And it was short enough to not want to give up.
Would not use a credit.
