About this listen

Harrison

I loved Laney Landers before most people learned to read. Blonde hair, blue eyes that rivaled the ocean, and an invisible halo over her head. She stole my heart the same day she threw sand in my face. What started as a friendship grew into so much more. I thought she'd be my forever. But then life threw me a curveball and I changed course. Laney moved on and found a different happily ever after . . . while I wallowed in grief and regret. And now she's here, reminding me that I made the biggest mistake of my life.

Laney

I loved Harrison Montgomery since the first day he saved me a seat in kindergarten. He was my best friend, my own real-life prince. He taught me to ride a bike and showed me how to shoot a three-pointer in basketball. He was my first kiss. My first love. My first heartache. My first everything. I don't believe in happily ever after anymore. Harrison forced me to write a new ending to my story. But seeing him again after all these years - it makes me want things I shouldn't. Because that chapter of my life is closed forever.

Or is it?

Contains mature themes.

Fantastic.

Loved Peacekeeper. It was a sweet second chance story, the story pulled me in immediately and I couldn’t get to the next chapter fast enough. I fell in love with this family, each brother’s love story was unique and extraordinary. On to Rebel. Narrators are perfection.

Another good one

I have enjoyed other series by Laura Pavlov but this one didn't have any written reviews and that made me nervous. I didn't start with book one and jumped into this one. The first few hours were really repetitive but I cranked it to 2.0 and stuck with it. The story had followed the same frame as the other series but had some surprise elements toward the end. It's not my favorite of hers but I'm going to move forward with the next story.

a lovely take on a second chance romance

Harrison and Laney are a lovely take on a second chance romance. Laney is back in town to help care for her mother who is fighting cancer. She’s also engaged to someone back in Chicago so starting her relationship with Harrison again is the furthest thing from her mind. But they’re spending a lot of time together since she is helping out at his family winery while she is home. They both played a part in their breakup and as they both begin to share the reasons, they realize that maybe they aren’t over each other after all. But Laney is holding onto a dark secret that until she’s ready to share she cannot fully be present in any relationship. I liked the narrators in this one - but they are the same as The Legacy, so it is always a little difficult to hear the same voices as different people within the same series.

So Sweet!

5 ⭐ 2 🌶 5 🎧

This series is stealing my heart. I love these brothers so dang much. Harrison and Lainey were slow burn goodness with a ton of angst and a little bit of action.

I couldn't handle how much Harrison loved Lainey 😭 he felt this unrequited love that was so sad at times... But he tried to be her friend regardless and I just loved him for it. Lainey's past just about broke my heart, I wanted to hug her so hard...

I loved the mental health / therapy rep!!

The audio was great. I'm loving Nelson Hobbs and Amelie Griffin narrating this series and I'm so excited to listen to Jack's story.

a perfect second chance romance

If you're looking for a second chance romance, then this one is for you.
The narrators did such a great duo for this story 🥰. They bring both characters to life in the perfect way and I absolutely loved it.

Harrison is hurt, even it was his decision to broke up with his highschool sweetheart but it’s still hurt to have let go of the love of his heart Lanney.
Severals years later Lanney returned to her hometown Nappa cause her mother has breast cancer and she has to got surgery. So she wants to be by her side during this rough time, but returning home imply to see Harrison again.

I love second chance romance, even though it means that I've had to listen all of their brokenhearts, but I've loved hearing all of their story. I was hooked all along and I didn’t want to miss a bit. I was mesmeriz by all of their story, it was so powerful.

I've love everything in this book, the development of Harrison, and Lanney but also their families.
Beyond all the feelings between Harrison and Lanney, the story was glorious and mostly hilarious, I don’t recall the last book that made me laugh so hard like this but it was so perfect. I’ve listened to this book while I was at work and let’s say that sometimes it was really hard to not laugh out loud, mostly because of Jack (Harrison’s little brother is really something).

I Really love laurapavlovauthor writing and this serie is really really wonderful, so don’t wait a minute longer and go get the book or audiobook.
