Acerca de esta escucha

Meet the Necromancer Cult’s newest, sleepiest, and least qualified recruit: Momo Lim.

As an anti-social art major perpetually at risk of dropping out, college life wasn't a great fit for Momo. When she wakes up one morning in a dark cavern full of sentient skeletons and oddball introverts who call themselves necromancers, she knows a new era of her life is about to start.

Chosen for her meek and harmless personality, she is able to exist under the radar as she completes the Dawn's necromantic missions. Watch her as she gains confidence (and class levels), and reluctantly rises from meager apprentice to self-assured queen of the underworld.

Dive into a lighthearted and humorous (but epic!) isekai LitRPG, with a vivid world full of characters for Momo to meet, battle, bemuse, and most importantly—bring back from the dead.

Narrated by Anjali Bhimani, best known for voicing Symmetra in Overwatch and Rampart in Apex Legends, as well as acting in Ms. Marvel and Critical Role.

Highly recommend, while the beginning is slow, I quickly grew invested in the main character. Character develops nicely over the course of the book making noticeable progress in personality as well as power.

Story wasn't bogged down by the fluff and the fluff wasn't stamped out by the story, a perfect balance.

New narrator on the scene and she did a fantastic job, good voices that were easily identifiable, and read lines in the tone you would expect from the content of the story. Hope to hear more from her soon.

A must listen

Sweet, fun, and exciting

This book was a riot. I'm still not sure how the writer managed to keep up such a comedic tone throughout the entire book while also maintaining a coherent and enjoyable story, but it was very well done. The narration was on point and did a great job of presenting every line to really bring the book to life. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Entertaining and Fun.

Great take on a novel idea. The writing and narration were superb. Excited to see where this series goes next!

Really awesome

Just a really fun book and the narrator Anjali Bhimani is fantastic. She makes the fight scenes exciting and she switches between tons of character voices and narrator with lightning speed. She's a Hollywood actress and her acting talent really comes through.

Momo is an unlikely and hilarious necromancer. I especially love Valerica, the cult leader, and her undying belief in Momo. The dynamics between the different characters are electric and the skill progression and necromancy / nether magic is fun, even if it's a little crazy. Just give this a try and you won't be disappointed.

Fun book and narrator Anjali Bhimani is great

I love the reluctant hero trope and the author does it well. Plus an anxious protagonist thats not terribly broody is great.

Breath of fresh air

This was an interesting story of what I think was a lesbian girl who dies and gets brought to another world by a woman who she really likes. I loved how she grew from a mousy college girl to a badass.

I admitted wasn't really sure what I was getting into.Based on just the preview, I listened to but I took the chance, and i'm glad I did. the storyline was engaging.
For the most part, and it was packed with humor that rolled well with the story. i admittedly did have a hard time with how the main character repeatedly.
Acted like a fool and her constant self deprecation but I felt that as the story progressed onwards her views changed and even grew. i wish we had been given more in the first book about the world . She ends up in. I feel like maybe that's something that should be in the very first book to really explain this world, but also the fact that nobody seems to explain anything to her. I mean, certain things just don't make sense. Such as the eating habits of the Dawn. or how classes and skills eitk etc. uts like everyone expect her to judt know everything. Little things like this go a long ways imo. I'm willing yo give this book 4/5 stars because as I said, the story wasn't horrible and the narrator did an amazing job of pulling it all together and making it entertaining. May the Lesbisn Necromancer live long. p.s. that was a good little surprise in there

good book

I was honestly kinda skeptical going in, but 20 mins later I was hooked. I can't put into words how disappointed I am that there isn't a sequel yet. I could go into details about the story, the characters, the world building etc but I'm sure someone else here will do that justice. I'm currently typing this up at work trying not to get caught. I will say though, this has easily become one of my all time favorite books. Will definitely be following.

What can I say about the narration? It was extremely well done.

An enjoyable story with fun and interesting characters, I found this to be refreshing break between all the grim I’ve been swimming in lately without being overly goofy. Wonderful narration also.

Fun ride! cute, silly and heartfelt

There is so much here to love and enjoy! You start reading, thinking the book will flop into the cliche abyss many litRPGs do - but it never happens.

The writer turned my expectations inside out, upside down, and gave me a story that not only clobbered every industry cliche, but did so in a masterful way. I was delighted and intrigued to follow Momo on her adventures, listening to the story through her perceptions and thoughts.

Adamsfamily-esque. Believable. Well-developed character growth. The seemingly lighthearted characters and plot did not remain flat nor simple, but they each burst into a complex three-dimensional roundness as the story progressed. Momo's motivations were more interesting than even the plot and setting (which were both interesting, to be sure).

After reading this story, the only regret I have is that there isn't a sequal out yet.

What's not to love?!
