Publisher's summary

The comfortable and safe mortal lands of the Nameless World have been left behind. The petty kingdoms with their endless feuds, the supposedly great empires with their innumerable intrigues and tragedies, even the Strange Lands that consider themselves to be the last bastion of true freedom.

The Mad General has traversed them all, from one end to the other.

What lies ahead?

The road to the Land of the Immortals.

And everything that embarking upon this path will bring with it.

After all, even in the truly vast Nameless World, it is still possible to find that final border, the true end of the road. But if anyone thinks that this will cause the General to falter, make him lower his sword, they are mistaken . . .

It is as it was before and as it always will be. Neither demons nor gods, neither heroes nor villains, neither Time nor Fate will ever be able to break the iron will of Hadjar Darkhan.

Hmm...

it's like the MC got super stupid. I had to stop reading when he didn't think about his weapon.

Fantastic

I’ve been waiting for 10 books for this epic reveal. 10/10 if you’re a sane person 1000/10 if you love this series.

???

Per usual the beginning of the series is dragged out and now that we are getting towards the end things are being rushed and becoming unclear. Admittedly the story/series started degrading pretty significantly about midway through but I wasn't really having issues following the situation until this book. It's honestly disappointing as this series started out so good and had great potential. Maybe the author put to many words in the beginning of the story and forgot to leave room for the end.

repetitive Disappointment

this series is almost all the same. he finds him self over powered by foes. Then what do you know he figures out a way to kill them when he's almost dead. This represents most of the story. was a good time killer but I won't be looking for the next in series. Disappointing

overly descriptive,overly philosophical,slow overall progress

as the title says overly desceiptive, kinda describing a glass of starting with the glistening condenstion slowly tracing its way down the crystal clear glass, and the interplay of light thru that life saving water, what mysteries does that water contain, more than what could be contained in a thousand epochs( yes he loves the word epoch).now imgine that kind of drivel several times ...every chapter, and when the story starts moving along, and when theres a fight, basically evry chance he gets
now i will give some credit the over all story is interesting, but there is SO MUCH repeated information and so many stupid statements that if these books hadnt been free (except for the last 2-3 got them on sale for almost nothing) i wouldnt have bothered ...however i found myself fast forwarding ALOT , and yelling get on with f#$%ing story that i wont continue
