Well, this is not for the faint of heart.

This was unexpected.

I have mixed feelings about this book. The narration was very good and also the writing was pretty fluid from beginning to end. Content wise it was a roller coaster. Through a good portion of the beginning of this book I had a frown on my face. I also almost stopped listening to it because of the content. This is a dark dark romance, mystery, thriller, that needs a lot of trigger warnings. I'm OK with the dark romance as long as there is some consent on both parties, this book towed that line. If you liked “Butcher and Blackbird” and “Lights Out” be forewarned that this book is darker than those two. By the time I made it to the middle of the book I did not like it at all and was not going to finish it but I really wanted to know what was going to happen to the characters. By the time I finished the book I was happy with the conclusion, but it was a dark road to the end. This book deals with, stocking, murder, gruesome horror scenes, child abuse, rape, mental health issues, trauma, and a lot of not morally gray but morally black area. If you decide to read it prepare yourself and I would recommend paying as close attention to the details as you can. I figured out a good portion of the plot before it was ever revealed but I think it was because I have experienced part of the content in real life. These are my opinions and thoughts respectively.

Could not keep my ears awaw!!!

First audio book I have ever listened to and WOW, what an awesome 1st experience. I couldnt help but drop my jaw throughout the entire book...I was literally at the edge of my seat with every chapter. Amazing Book!!!

Exciting story

I really enjoyed this story. I like the masked stalker trope. It’s a dual narration. I think both narrators did a good job. Very enjoyable.

Bringing the story to life!

Wow! I read the book, but when I saw that Audible had released the audio version I knew I had to have it! First, the plot is amazing, and the smut is also amazing! However, listening to the book, is a very different experience. The narrators made you feel as though you were there! I was transported to a different place where a hot man was ravishing me! This is my first audiobook, and I used my husband’s account, as I was unsure if I wanted the audiobook since I already had the ebook. But it was an amazing experience, and I am so happy I did get it!!! Thank you so much for narrating and making this book come to life! -Amanda

Think dark stalker, but with a twist

To me, almost every dark stalker book ive read or listened to recently have all been similar in the plot. This was a very different listen, I thought the plot was incredible, the voice actors did such a great job at making you feel like you were right there. The story pulled at my heart, and although dark and gritty, I would listen again.

What a dark and beautiful story

JA really knocked it out of the park with this book. I usually don’t “read “ much but I also read this book as well I preordered the audiobook. It’s wonderfully written and narrated. It’s not the usual dark mafia romance I listen to and that’s what I loved about it! It’s got tropes I love. Stalker, OTT unhinged. I loved it and hope the story continues with these characters!! Highly recommended.

Overall good story that kept me guessing

Suspense was really good. The audiobook had several mispronunciations that were distracting and the male character could be heard swallowing and even a tummy rumble once haha slightly distracting but not a huge deal

An Almost Perfect Dark Romance

If you have any sort of trigger please check for trigger warning before listening to this. There is a lot going on.

I love love loved this book. So many twists, turns and OMG moments. You can't help but fall for all these flawed characters. Each with their secrets and own issues but together are perfect.

The narrators were simply amazing, I think I have a new favorite in John Hartley. They made this story very interesting to listen to and drew you right into the story.

Death!!!

This book was a wild ride, and I loved every single moment of it. The sweetness of Sebastian and the darkness of death. This book gives you the best of both romance worlds. Definitely worth the credit.

UMMMMMM I wish I could rewind this whole book and re-listen to it all over again for the first time! I can’t belive I put this book off for so long! 5 stars across the board, I did not see any of that coming! Great story with all the spice!!!
