My favorite new series.

If you are a fan of He Who Fights With Monsters, this is the series for you. The author is a fan of the other series and sites it occasionally, and uses the same voice actor. It is lighter hearted and one of the easiest listens you will find. can't wait for the 3rd.

love the playful love

the relationship building and the way it is written is very nice. I'm glad the action in minimal, though I wish the the romance was minimal too.

Cosy style slice of life with no stakes.

The story doesn’t really make sense, and the progression is completely silly, but it’s just a chill style book. If you don’t want to worry about details and mostly just chill and watch a MC randomly succeed at everything, this is what you’re looking for.

Funny. With great character development. Great description’s of the skills. Anticipation for the third book is high in this house.

Excellent story and narration.

Loved the job Heath did as usual. This story vibes with me. I like the pacing. If I had a complaint it may be the repetitive discriptions of fishing, but I guess that's also part of the charm. already pre-ordered the next one.

Combat?

This book has been amazing! Both 1 and 2 are fantastic books! They bring a very new enriching environment to the genre! Even if you don’t like fishing I think you’d love these books! However book two brings interesting combat scenario alive toward the end! Is definitely on my must read list if you like the Xianxia genre!

I’ve really enjoyed the first two books

My only fear is that it is going to turn into a series that never stops like so many do in this genre. If that’s then I’ll be done.

Thoroughly Enjoyable

Keith Miller is a great narrator. This is a fantastic continuation of the Heretical Fishing series. I enjoy the characters and story line. It is a little weird how politically correct everything in the book is, but sometimes casual about throwing around f$!k. I enjoy it as an adult but wouldn’t recommend it for kids.

More cultivation goodness

This series provides a wonderful palate cleanser after all the world ending threats usually present. The MC is massively OP but has no interest in taking over or defying the heavens.
