Impressive and unique.

I will try to avoid leaving an excessively long review here as this audiobook has been suitably praised by many, and it was released less than a week ago.

Suffice to say that this was an exceptionally good audiobook. I actually did laugh out loud which for me pretty much never happens. Usually when I see that comment in reviews it’s a red flag that the book is going to be juvenile and idiotic. But the success of the humor is more of an indication of the quality of the writing than to say that this is a specifically comedic work.

The characters are endearing and magnetic, the story is engaging, and the narration is so spot on that you forget that it’s there and it feels as though you are actually reading the story. Which is the highest praise that I think you can give to a narrator.

To put it plainly, if you are even considering listening to this title then it’s pretty much guaranteed to be worth your credit.

Best Xianxia Novel in Years!

This slice of life novel is set in a rich and compelling world filled with hidden masters, powerful spirit beasts, growing rice, and building snowmen.

The characters are charming and each one is well developed and nuanced, not just 2D characterizations.

I’m not usually into slice of life stuff but this one has surprising depth and charm. Definitely recommend giving it a chance!

loved it, want more! Great character development, side characters also development interestingly. I highly recommend this series.

Long live the Faram!

A surprise for me. Basically a weird slice of life. The cultivator is very strong but just wants a simple life with his farm and neighbors. The animals on the farm learn to cultivate through him and believe that the farm (Faram) is basically like their empire and from time to time battle it out with invaders. Last thing to say, that is one bad ass chicken lol

When you're 3 chapters in and, instead of hearing about the mc, you find yourself embroiled in the life or death honor duel of a fox and a rooster........and find you are thoroughly invested in said battle...... then you KNOW you've struck literary gold lolol. This story is the perfect blend of casual, action filled, and comedic. Do yourself a favor and get this book, it'll definitely put a smile on your face lol.

For the skeptic.

This is definitely not LitRpg. I'm not big on RPG books. Or books that are toned down a bit but still seem as though you are a bystander simply observing the MC participate in a video game like process. I love this book! It has a few direct winks and nods to that world but the uninitiated may not even notice them. Hell, I had to google what Xianxia was/meant. Wasn't familiar with the world of cultivation at all. Do not let that deter you! If you enjoy any form of fantasy involving magic/super hero/sorcery/etc, with humor and heart thrown in as bonus measures, you should take the chance. You may not enjoy it to the degree that I have, but I truly believe at minimum you'll close the app at the end and say, "Hmm, not too bad." So, in the end, you only risk not being entertained by skipping.

A story for our time

Sit back and bask in another time and another place, far away from the war and madness.
If you've ever dreamed of setting down the rat race, and taking up the tools of your reinvention, then this book will soothe your soul.

Very good

A good story. Nice to listen to an adventure book that doesn't have the MC constantly tripping his way from one battle to the next with no real time in between to flesh out any kind of real story to it. Also nice that the MC isn't all about "I must get more powerful, and fast" mentality. Refreshing.

A diamond in the ruff!

I truly recommend this audiobook, if you are looking for a story to submerge yourself in that keeps you entertained and happy, this is a great choice.

The author brings the characters to life and makes you want to care about them, the MC just might be OP but he doesn't know it or think so, he just wants to live a peaceful life.

This is a slice of life fantasy romance and I hope there will be more books to come. Great Book, Two Thumbs Up!!!
