I'm sick of serving, and I want nothing to do with their world. Instead, I want them to pay for what they did to mine. Maybe that's why she found me: the fearsome, angry goddess who showed me a different path. Apparently, Qi is not the only route to power.
Now I'll fight to take back my planet, to grow strong enough to beat the cultivators at their own game. Through the power of blood, rage, and pain, I will free humanity or die trying.

Narrator was amazing as always
While I enjoyed the book the MC and cultivation system was slightly annoying. I love a good OP story but seriously this may have taken the cake for me. I’m still going to read book 2 and hope there is some more fine tuning to the cultivation system and maturity in the MC. Other than those gripes it’s still a worthy read in my opinion. Also loved the narration.

Wonderful Spirit
That I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book is an understatement. Usually, books that feature a Berserker/Barbarian archetype lose their appeal very quickly for me. However, the writer of this story weaves a fantastic tale that swiftly entices the listener. Furthermore, the narrator’s passion and vigor in telling this story rapidly enthrall the listener. I look forward to the next book in this series, but I hope you will purchase this story. It is well worth the credit.

Great story Terrible narration
The story and MC are wonderful and I'm looking forward to reading the second book, but my God was the narration awful. The weird accents and shrill tone of the female characters voices really dragged down the experience

Exquisite from start to end!
This is one of the best cultivation fantasies I’ve ever read. Tension and action all the way through carried me through the whole story on the edge of my seat. The main character is relatable, but without the wishy washy moral quandaries that plague so many of his archetype. The magic system is deep and easy to understand, making me feel almost that I could do it myself! My only gripe is a bit too much fan service, but that’s only personal preference. Congratulations Rick Scott on the first installment of a fantastic series! 10/10 would recommend!

Does not disappoint.
I waited all year with this staring at me on my wishlist.
Mainly because Wayne Mitchell narrating a berserker is perfect for his style.
The book was griping from start to finish. Cannot wait for the second book whenever is. Hopefully soon.

Great story, poor narrating
Story was very good. It's unfortunate that the narrator sounded like they were talking around a mouth full of marbles for every character except the MC.

love the story and progression
I love the story and progression. the characters were amazing. Maybe more versatility in voice actors but I was happy none the less. great story looking forward to book 2
