About this listen

An empowering and witty guide to banishing shame and living your fullest life with ADHD—plus tips for loved ones on helping them navigate this world, too—from viral duo ADHD_Love.

What if you stopped feeling ashamed of constantly being late or of getting so hyperfocused on a task that you drop everything else you had to do? How can you as a partner, parent, or friend better understand your neurodivergent loved one’s way of moving through the world?

In Dirty Laundry, life partners Rich Pink and Rox Emery unapologetically guide you through the ups and downs of life with ADHD. Every chapter starts with a common symptom of ADHD, like impulsivity or struggles with finances, and an earnest moment from their own lives to show you how they navigate the symptom together. Rox reminds you to be kind to yourself and love yourself for who you are; Rich offers tips on how he uses compassion and honesty instead of jumping to conclusions. Whether it's helping your ADHDer with friendly time-checks before an appointment or reminding yourself to take breaks during hours spent hyperfocusing on a new project, Rox and Rich give you the tools to destigmatize and normalize life with ADHD.

It is EXTREMELY difficult and painful to listen to books on ADHD given my very late diagnosis (35) and even MUCH later introduction to LEARNING about ADHD (50). So much confusion and pain that’s resulted in so much trauma and lost time and opportunity. The authors bring much needed humanity, empathy and kindness to books on this subject.

Lovely book and reading (and tears)

From beginning to end this book was great. The 10 symptom structure was easy to understand and all info was relevant. Genuinely made me cry multiple times. I relate to Rox and Rich so much because I have ADHD and my fiancee is neuro-typical. He is going to use his credit to read it too. 10/10

Finally Felt Understood for the First Time in My Life 🥹😭

this book has helped me to understand more about my ADHD being diagnosed at the age of 44. I am now almost 46 years old and have a better understanding for myself and for my kids and what they are going through I have seven kids and four of them are diagnosed with ADHD and some are on the Autism Spectrum. thank you 😊

very helpful and insightful for me.

I have followed ADHD Love for a long time on TikTok. They are raw and the content they push out is brilliant. I wasn’t diagnosed until 38, so learning through people who have walked this life before me is a great way to know I’m not alone and be a part of a community that helps me understand the struggles I deal with on the regular.

When I found out Rich and Rox put together a book, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I hope more people dive in and learn more about the struggles of living with ADHD as well as the people in their inner circle and how they can work together to make life a little easier.

Must read for anyone with ADHD, especially those diagnosed in adulthood!

Such an amazing book. Rox and Rich make this challenging topic so easy to understand and with the added framework of a relationship! Wow! Just wow! I finished the book in one afternoon and immediately started it over again! Thank you both for being so open and honest and approachable! ❤️

This book was so validating to how I feel and things that I've gone through. I've never seen or reaf anything that describes how ADHD feels this well. these two are absolutely amazing and I want everybody to read this book

I listened to the whole audiobook in the span of 12 hours. Not only did I find so much in common with the author, but she presented a concept that I had not fully accepted before despite reading so much ADHD info- work with your symptoms instead of masking or pretending you don’t have them at all- and instead practice self compassion and radical honesty. Her personal anecdotes help you to see how this can be life changing. Having the perspective of her partner allowed me to realize some blind spots I have in my own long term relationship that I had not recognized before, and kept the book interesting. Definitely check it out!

Excellent audiobook- one worth the time to complete
