Acerca de esta escucha

Is a distracted and scattered mind preventing you from securing the life you deeply desire?

You’re not alone. For many women just like you, the biggest obstacle on their path to self-actualization is their own mind. ADHD isn’t just for young boys anymore.

Women from age 24 to 36 are now the fastest-growing population diagnosed and treated for ADHD today. While women are four times less likely to get diagnosed than men, research has shown that ADHD causes a greater toll on women due to societal pressure and internalizing their struggles.

Maybe you always knew your brain worked differently. It’s possible that thoughts seem to enter your mind, shuffle, and move on at incredible speed. Maybe you’ve always found yourself interested in many things, unable to focus and build upon one.

You’re probably incredibly creative but find it difficult to distill that focus into consistent effort.

In the illuminating guide, Women with ADHD, you’ll learn about:

  • Signs and symptoms of ADHD that may have gone unnoticed.
  • The role of executive function in the hyperactive mind.
  • ADHD’s effect on social dysfunction and anxiety.
  • Step-by-step methods to declutter your life by defining your target areas.
  • Isolation and friendships for those with ADHD.
  • Improving relationships and choosing romantic partners that complement your mind.
  • Career paths vs. “pay the bills” jobs and the advantages of both.
  • Becoming intelligent with your spending habits.
  • And much more!

If you are a woman with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, you’ve learned that the way you think and act might not be what society would label as “correct”. In this breakthrough guide, you’ll be enlightened to the truth that is: There is no such thing as correct!

Although ADHD can present difficulties that others may have the privilege of avoiding, you can learn to work with–and love–the way your mind works.

Scroll up and hit “Buy Now” to finally learn how.

A necessary read

As someone who has recently been diagnosed with ADHD, this has helped me understand myself, and provide tools for success! Not only has the diagnosis and treatment been life-changing, this book is excellent support material.

So many helpful hints

I am a 73 year old female educator, diagnosed with ADHD at age 37. I knew I had it since the moment I learned the name of it. The doctor said, WOULD IT SURPRISE YOU TO LEARN YOU ARE TEXTBOOK ADHD? Nope. Not one bit. I had learned many coping techniques but decided to give medication a try. Oh my ! So helpful. You can actually even tell from my handwriting if I have taken my medication or not! I do take “pill holidays” on days when I have no need to be focused. I have many more of those days since retiring. I think ADHD is a gift of sorts. I just wish it had been identified when I was a child.
Many great ideas in this book. I see myself on most every page.

Women with ADHD/Race Car Brain with Scooter Breaks

A nice read and guide on Women with ADHD designed to break the constant cycle of negative self-talk, shame narratives that claim brain differences are actually character flaws.
Loaded with information that help ADHD patients untangle themselves from common beliefs that generally hamper their personal growth.
The ''wow same" and "AH-HA moments" uttered while listening were so illuminating.
The most incredible feel you get on this book is an assurance that you are actually not alone and that there are therapies and behavioral shifts that will eventually help you break free of the dissonance within the many brain symphonies we conduct at once.
ADHD is such a public health concern and I recommend a listen while taking notes.
Splendid narration too. Quite informative.

Incredible Value

This text was such a delight to experience, navigating it as a man with ADHD - son and partner to women diagnosed with ADHD, and the intersections of experiences, as well as their deviations once experienced through the societal construct of a woman's role in managing herself and numerous priorities as if it was effortless, cannot be overstated. What I enjoyed was the sections devoted to navigating the different dimensions of one's life (finances, family, relationships, career) as it is perceived by women with ADHD. Practical, concise.

Great book with helpful insights

I am ADHD and I was diagnosed at 40. I spent so many years feeling like I just was missing the work, and it didn’t matter how hard I worked, I just wasn’t able to keep up with my peers. Incredibly artistic, creative, driven, caring, generous, and I always felt like I was capable of more. I’ve spent the last few years learning about ADHD and how it has affected my life. Just because you know, doesn’t mean that you’re cured. I deal with it every day. I fine now though, I allow my mind to work the way it does within a confine to allow me to achieve what I want to achieve. I have stopped making myself wrong for not finishing books, and instead I use Audible to listen to books while I do other things. I feel like my information retention is so much higher ingesting books in this way. I have completed more books are in the last year and a half, and I probably have in the last 15 years. I can find myself a room when I’m cleaning now. If something has to go to another room, I’ll drop it and go back. That item that needs to be put away is for a later date. This allows me to move through my home one section of the time, one day at a time. It’s not a perfect solution, but it is so much better than trying to do everything at once. I enjoy my creativity so much more now. Are used to think being creative with some reward for getting all my other things done. I know allow myself to have those creative times because they rejuvenate my mind so I can think for clearly. I have stopped trying to fold all of my towels; now the big ones get folded, hand towels get thrown in a tote, and rags get thrown in another tote. I am constantly finding better ways that work for me to remove the feeling of overwhelm. I still feel it, everyday, but it’s like moving into a new home… I’m unboxing, figuring out what works, and purging processes that don’t. This book vocalized so many things about myself that I didn’t know where related to ADHD. Thank you for writing it. ❤️

Overall good

Overall this book has some great pointers. The voice actors seem very robotic and monotoned.

Good Read

I listened to this book on lunch while exercising. I think learning that some of my symptoms are from ADHD helped me understand myself a bit. knowing that so many other women suffer with some of the same feelings and behaviors I have made me feel more relatable. This book offered good advice on how to deal and improve on symptoms. It also offered other avenues or tools to improve feelings and behaviors.

Great Audio Book

I was diagnosed 25 years ago and this audio book was just what I needed to remind myself that my brain is just wired differently than others. And there is nothing "wrong" with me. I'm just quirky 🤪

this book was very insightful

Thank you so much for writing this book and taking all the time effort and energy into doing research. this is open. my eyes to what I felt were deficiencies in my personality and in my brain, but now I see that it's something I necessarily couldn't control. Thanks to this book, I now have different methods and tools on how I can overcome some of these challenges when it comes to relationships with friends, family, and partners.
