Something always goes sideways, but this is bigger than expected.
Maybe it's not an entirely bad thing, though, as mana-infected animals spreading over the world would definitely make everyone more open to the idea of the apocalypse. The question is what was Silas supposed to do about it, though.
He still couldn't tell anyone who wasn't inducted about the system. It was time to get creative. If that wasn't enough, though, he still had the wild hunt hanging over his head. Seven days to go, and then he'd be thrown into whatever twisted event the system had cooked up for him. The only good thing was that he had those seven days to train. He might not be the highest leveled of the Forerunners, but his mentor made sure he had the best foundation. He could only grow stronger from here.

great series, but way too short to be worth the credit.
I'm thoroughly enjoying the series so far, but it seems like the last 3 books barely had enough content for a single book. Travis Baldree did a great job, as always, with the narroration. I'm hoping that later books are much longer, or they release a box set. Maybe both...

pretty standard overall story but I love the differences from other similar book. the heredity aspect and interplanetary competition are especially cool.

Nice kick into high gear.
I really liked this book and how it shifted into a higher gear. More danger, more skills, and more LOOT!! Definitely cannot wait for book 4. I'm so glad Travis Baldree is the narrator, so many potentially great listens are ruined by the narrator. Travis is definitely the best narrator out there.

Better and Best!
This series just gets better and better and this one has so far been the best!! Couldn’t stop listening and when I would I couldn’t stop thinking about it!!! Can’t wait for the next one!! Can’t come soon enough!

Thirsty for more
I literally can’t stop. It’s like a drug that won’t stop giving. The narration is always good, the story is phenomenal and the character development is peak.

Fun storyline
Fun storyline- definitely entertaining. Narrator does a great job.
Often repetitive- e.g., “character took a deep breath and turned around. He took a deep breath and prepared himself to…”.
