The biggest endorsement I can give Sleep Smarter.
The biggest endorsement I can give Sleep Smarter is that I've been trying to convince my wife to go to sleep earlier for years. Finally, after I got this book, I not so subtly started sharing factoids from the book about the benefits of sleeping earlier and better sleep hygiene things that you learn in the book (like leaving your cell phone outside the bedroom), but she wasn't listening. Finally, I said, hey baby, let's make a deal, listen to this book and I'll listen to whatever you want me to listen to. She agreed. A week later, she's heading for bed by 10 p.m. and following other tips found in the book! #winning!

There is so much more to sleep than you thought,
There is so much more to sleep than you thought, and the author discusses everything from how to get to sleep and stay asleep to what sleep does to kick off your hormone dominoes. the author himself listen to the Audiobook and that's fabulous, too. Cannot recommend this highly enough -- I give it 10 stars!

This book has a lot of great information in it. With trying to balance all of life's demands this book will help you to find ways to make sleep a priority. I never really understood the power and importance of sleep until I listen to this book. I would recommend this book to anyone. I believe all should become more self-aware of their sleep habits.

This is probably the most helpful book for me.
This is probably the most helpful book for me that I have ever listened to terms of improving my health. I have been listening to Shaun's podcasts for several years and bought the 1st edition of this book last year. the author is very entertaining and enjoyable to listen to/listen. More importantly, though, is the advice he gives. This book has helped me out in ways other than sleeping. I was fortunate enough to get an advance copy of this edition and even the new material here is great! A true testament of my loyalty to the author has been that even though he has great guests on his show that also do podcasts, the author is still the only one I listen to on a regular basis.

I have tried various strategies,
I have tried various strategies, but have never succeeded in sticking with any of them long enough to make a long-term difference. When I heard the author interviewed, I knew I had to check out his book. A lot of his suggestions were not news to me - but he provides the scientific explanation for why they work, and this has made a world of difference in my ability to motivate myself to stick with it. I'm still in the beginning stages of transforming my sleep, but feel more confident than I ever have that I finally have the tools to do it right!

I would recommend only listening to this.
I would recommend not only listening to this but making absolutely sure that you implement each of the recommended actions. It includes better gut care, better sex, hormone effects, how to exercise better, milometer care and anti-aging (beyond just sleep), stress management, motivational, losing weight, how big your breakfast should be and why...and even the position to sleep in and the bed you should buy... and much more across many areas of life.

I did not know my sleep was not true quality until
I did not know my sleep was not true quality until this book. For example, I did not know that sleeping between the hours of 10 pm to 2 am are the most important hours to be sleeping since we receive the largest release of human growth hormone (youth hormone). Who knew? Seriously a great listen if you would like to feel more youthful and your best self. Please know this book is not at all boring... instead I was entertained while learning this pertinent info.

I like how in-depth this book goes into probably .
I like how in-depth this book goes into probably the most important thing that all of us could do a little better on or get more of. It's nice that the tips/tricks are easy to follow - and go way beyond what you will find online for the normal things to do to try and improve sleep. My husband was having difficulty figuring out why his overnight fasting glucose would spike when he eats so healthy. It was sleep!!! Bingo - thank you to the author for pointing this out! And the keys of timing optimal sleep - even when you know you can't get a full nights rest. I'm happy to report that both my husband and I are getting much better quality sleep. :) PS - fell in love with some of the alternative techniques (non-Western) to help facilitate such great sleep!
