If a bit of a slog at times, its well worth it.

Sometimes it feels like the story gets a bit lost in the cultivation stuff, fights can go on a bit long considering the power levels involved, and sometimes characters try to do things the author clearly thinks are cool. Sometimes the whole system and sacrificial credits get brought up more then talking about how the tree is feeling.

All of this is fine-it strikes a fair balance. And the payoff for the last 4ish hours of the book is well worth it. Could the villains be better? Absolutely. Nox especially is just a bit of a miss on me. She is, what I'd call, the anime villain. She wants power, bu she never wants powet for anything but herself. Dante gets a bit of a character arc, and that was nice, but it feels a bit too little too late when it comes to him.

I do hope to see more grounded families actingbas the main enemies. While many elders are relatively grounded, he's been facing mostly comicly evil people who think of nothing but stealing power.

Cheers to the author on the effort though. Stella and Diana in particular are great. Most of the reason to read honestly.

this is an incredibly well thought out story and magic system. I constantly find myself in aww. Some of the coolest and most origional action, character, and story sequences that I've ever come across in all my 35 years of complete needing out on magical media outlets. Voice actor gives a good performance as well!

Decent continuation but fallen off a little bit for me

I feel like this was a good installment to the series, but I’m kind of losing interest. The progression from book 1 to book 3 is a little strange. It seems like less than 100 days past in this book, while over 3000 days passed in book one and 2. The author should really consider the world building and make more time pass so that it seems more realistic
