In this commentary, we will examine the shortest book of the Old Testament; the prophecy of Obadiah. It serves as a warning to the nations of God's righteous judgment coming upon the earth. The Christian is reminded of God's faithfulness which will extend to His rule for all eternity.

We know that the nature of God eternally exists in three Persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. However, at the core of the Godhead is the relationship between the Father and the Son. In this book, we will explore the mystery of the thorn in the flesh. Paul stated that God had given him a thorn in his flesh in order to keep him humble because of the revelation that was in his life. However, there has been much controversy over what the thorn in his flesh was, and how God could allow such a thing to exist. In addition, there are Christians claiming that certain afflictions in their lives are a "thorn in the flesh," when they may not be. Therefore, we will endeavor to bring understanding to these concerns and discover what impact this has upon the believer today.

God has a plan for our lives. Though His ultimate desire is for men to be sons of God indeed, God has also placed the male in the earth to reach a certain destiny. God is a God of purpose. Everything that He does has a reason and a purpose behind it. If God has allowed us to live thus far, it is because we have not reached our destiny.
