Perfect dark romance 🔥
I don’t even know where to start. The story itself is gripping and HOT 🥵 but even more than that, the narrators do such an incredible job at bringing the characters to life that I had to listen to this all the way through in less than 24 hours. I was hooked! Love the characters, suspense, spice, and humor so much. You don’t find many genuinely suspenseful dark romances and I was on the edge of my seat a few times! That combined with the insane chemistry between Josh and Aly, this was my favorite book I’ve read in a hot minute. Can’t wait to read more from Navessa!!

I absolutely loved everything about this!
This was perfection! The narrators were amazing and had me laughing put loud at times. They really brought these characters to life. Their chemistry was so good and I had such a great time listening.

Amazing
Definitely one of my FAVORITE reads of this year. I cannot recommend this book enough! The banter was Chefs Kiss. The plot was so relevant and fun. If there was a 2nd book tbwr I would just be elated

Story is super contemporary w a TikTok star meets trauma nurse. Great banter with excellent performances by the narrators. My only complaint is that there aren’t any other books in the series to listen to next! Can’t wait!!

This was a fantastic listen!
This book was such a pleasant surprise! I have been looking for a stalking story where I am not taken out of the story due to the idiocy of the main characters or the author writing actual sex crimes and trying to retcon consent later because she realized she liked it (ahem, God of Malice and Haunting Adeline). The narration is top notch. This book is smart, funny, well written, and both characters are intelligent adults who do things that make sense due to their well constructed backstories. There are several instances where the characters engage in behavior that we often see in dark romance books, but the author addresses the little details that are overlooked and drive the reader crazy. Here is a non-spoiler about the kind of realism and rationality I am talking about: he does cut off her sexy panties (hot) but later she tells him that a woman’s fancy lingerie is special to her and expensive (because we were all thinking it) and he feels a little bad and realizes that he will need to do it less and buy her replacements. I can’t wait to check out other books by this author, unfortunately Audible doesn’t have any.
