Fully Staffed begins in 1980 with the story of Spike, aka Mr. Wigs, a beautiful Golden Labrador who melts the hearts of everyone he meets, and breaks the hearts of the ones he leaves behind. As a puppy, he surprises all the vets by surviving a life-threatening disease, and goes on to enjoy a long, happy and healthy life. Several years later we meet Spike, then Jake - both Staffordshire Bull Terriers, but totally different in every way. Spike is the bruiser, while Jake is the social butterfly.

When pressure from his materialistic children turns Claude into a thief, it is down to his youngest daughter to set things right. Angelique agrees to take her father’s place as prisoner to what she is told is a hideous beast. Angelique soon discovers that the so-called beast is nothing more than Rosalie, a princess cursed to remain trapped in a castle, unless the curse can be broken, something she assures her is impossible.

Meryton is atwitter with the arrival of Mr. Bingley and his friends, but Mr. Darcy leaves a bad first impression on the attendees of the Assembly ball. Lizzy soon learns who the real killer was, and the circumstances of why, and she is forced to act to save the culprit and Mr. Darcy. She claims she spent the night with him at Netherfield, thus besmirching her reputation and ensuring utter ruin unless Darcy offers marriage. He does, but he believes she is the murderer, and he holds her at arms’ length, clearly not trusting her.

Everyone in Meryton is excited about the upcoming Netherfield ball, but Lizzy is preoccupied, for the thief, though his identity is known, is still at-large. When Mr. Darcy’s sister arrives, she and Lizzy become fast friends, but Lizzy’s acrimony with Darcy threatens everything, especially when she overhears him condemning Jane as a grasping social climber without true regard for Bingley. They are at odds, but when an abduction occurs the very night of the ball, it brings the two of them together to find the kidnapper and rescue his victim.

A trip to London promises to be exciting as Lizzy tries to help Jane find a way to meet with Mr. Bingley. Her own experience is enlivened by meeting Lord Aumley, a handsome young viscount thrust into the world of Society unexpectedly. She wants to like Lord Aumley as more than a friend, but when she sees Darcy again, she accepts she cares more about the prideful man than she should. Her heart seems set on him, though her mind is still resisting the idea.
