William Clark Russell (24 February 1844 - 8 November 1911) was an English writer best known for his nautical novels. At the age of 13 Russell joined the United Kingdom's Merchant Navy, serving for eight years. Nach seiner langen Odyssee in der fernen Galaxis M 87 ist Perry Rhodan in die heimatliche Milchstraße zurückgekehrt. Dort wird ein neuer entscheidender Großangriff der Zweitkonditionierten erwartet, deren Raumschiffe, die Dolans, nahezu unzerstörbar sind. Doch als es zu diesem Angriff kommt, rettet eine bislang unbekannte Waffe das Solsystem vor dem Untergang. Eine Sonderschaltung des Robotgiganten OLD MAN springt an - und dann beginnt für Perry Rhodan die Suche nach den Unterlagen zu einer ultimativen Waffe.
