David Rudolph and Jacky Baker are the best commercial fishermen around the Oregon coast. The two men sign aboard a fishing vessel, the Edmund Fitzgerald II. With a crew of 10, the ship sails through radioactive waters in the Pacific carried by currents from the Fukushima nuclear accident. Using the latest and most sensitive Geiger counters for underwater use, the captain is determined that his catch will be safe for human consumption. After a day full of good catches, however, the ship and crew encounter something they didn't expect. Something in the water. Something big.

The story opens with Jessica Queen, Percival "King Louie" Washington, and Dexter Beck dealing with recurring nightmares. The dreams are so bad that all three consult with Dr. Caleb Mitchell, the Justice Security staff psychiatrist.

It’s November in Chicago. Still healing from an encounter with the Corn Flakes Killer, Lieutenant Michelle “Mickey” Rooney and her partner, Sam Tanner, head out into the snowy night to investigate four seemingly unrelated drug killings. They appear to be run-of-the-mill drug deals gone bad...until witnesses at one of the crime scenes report that they saw the shooting. And they have overheard the name of the killer: Esteban Fernandez.

Take four people that have been friends since college. Add a desire to protect others. In this introductory story, the partners provide security for a society dog show with an unexpected death coming from an unknown source. They also provide security for a Heavyweight Boxing Championship that has no challenger, and they are hired to investigate the deaths of two innocent teens.

In this 13th Justice Security story, Lieutenant Michelle (Mickey) Rooney of the Chicago Police Department returns, along with Detective Sam Tanner and ex-cop Manny Salazar. This time, two of them have a price on their heads, along with Joey Justice of Justice Security. The bounty has been placed on them by insane Mexican drug cartel leader Esteban Fernandez. Fernandez has hired Lido Bouvier, a wild Cajun assassin, to eliminate all three.

Someone...or something is killing people across Sardis County. Sheriff Billy Napier and Deputy Alan Blake are trying their best to find the killer before someone else falls victim to the “Sardis Slasher". The problem with finding the killer? No clues are left behind for the forensics team to find. Katie Montgomery Blake and her aunt Margo Sardis are trying to help but are also coming up empty.

Thirty seven children, along with their bus driver, have been kidnapped on their way to school. They've been hidden away in a location known only to the kidnappers, and booby-trapped so that explosives will go off at five PM, unless the kidnappers receive their demands. The city's FBI chief, Marcus Moore, orders Justice Security to call in a specialist in child abduction cases to help find the children - Nicholas Turner. Marcus also knows that Nicholas will bring his secret weapon along with him - his half-angel daughter, Madeline.

Laid off from a job in the city, Katie Montgomery and her 13-year-old daughter, Carol Grace, move home to Sardis County…to the farm that had been owned by her grandfather, Arthur “Junior” Ballantine, with the hopes of raising her daughter in the relative safety of rural America. Alan Blake is a cop. He also leaves the city to go to Sardis County…but not for the same reason. Alan arrested one of the Giambini crime family’s star gamblers: poker expert Moses Turley.

La storia si apre con Jessica Queen, Percival ”King Louie” Washington e Dexter Beck alle prese con incubi ricorrenti. I sogni sono così brutti che tutti e tre si consultano con il dottor Caleb Mitchell, lo psichiatra del personale della Justice Security. Caleb scopre un filo conduttore tra tutti gli incubi e prescrive due cose per risolverli.

Dopo i drammatici eventi vissuti in Jim Dandy, Patty Ferguson e Brandon King decidono di godersi una vacanza.
